UT-Arlington game

Sac bunt. Men to 2nd and 3rd. Another good job by Galvan. Galvan knows: there is no “I” in “TEAM”.

and Galvan does a perfect job of bunting the runners over, another productive at bat for him. Can't speak highly enough about executing that, Daly failed at it several times in the season, was very frustrating and its baseball 101, have to be able to execute that play to consider yourself a competitive ball club.

and O'Dowd comes through with a hit to LF to score 2, the throw is cut off by the infield and he's thrown out at 2nd. 6-2 Texas though, 2 outs.

Jack. Yeah!!!!

2RBI hit. He tries to stretch it to two but is tagged out at second.

6-2 Horns

Chop,

Question for you. Is it imported to segregate Big 12 in conference stats? If so, Should that impact decision making?

Kuykendahl is done. If you’ve ever lived in Houston, you know how to pronounce his name.

Enter Marshall with his 7.71 ERA.

Powell got robbed by an excellent play by the UTA 2nd baseman.

end of 5

8-2 Horns!!!

Inside Pierce’s brain:

- Hurley is fading a bit
- Hurley is a curveball thrower—his pitch count under-reflects the strain on his arm
- Here comes the top of the UTA lineup
- Shaw will stop them
- get Shaw an inning to keep him warm
- put in someone else after Shaw handles the top of their lineup this inning.

Can of corn fly out to Campbell. Shaw and the Texas D retire the side—the top of the UTA lineup.

On to the bottom of the 6th.

8-2 us.

Campbell K

Earlier, Campbell extended his record setting hit streak to 27 games.

If we win tonight, we will have lost 2 midweek games. One being the 3-0 loss to LSU, which was scoreless for 8 innnings. The other being game game 5 playing 5 days in a row.

Lots of teams are losing midweek games. And in ugly fashion occasionally.

That’s a positive indicator for us as it speaks to the depth of our staff.
