UK may vote to leave the European Union

We'll adjust to the lingo. I'm more worried about driving a US vehicle on the left side of the road.
Watch the roads when crossing! Don’t drive sleepy or before being fully awake in the morning.

I'll adjust eventually, and I have driven rental cars over there. However, they were UK spec, so the driver's side was on the right side of the car. It was still frightening at the beginning, but I eventually got used to it. Driving on the left from the left side of the car will be weird. Mrs. Deez is scared shitless. I suspect that she's going to want me to do all the driving.

I am pretty sure I know who they are aiming at with this - anyone who voted for Brexit
But what they are failing to consider is their Muslim population

Only whites are racist to Socialists. Muslims won't be banned from service because they simply aren't white. The only people that will try to enforce this are rabid Socialists looking to harm working class whites.

EU president Jean-Claude Juncker attended the bicentennial of Karl Marx's birthday. He said Marx wasn't "responsible" for Communism.

Hungary continues to resist
Hungary's FM Péter Szijjártó is trying to have Communism's crimes recognised. "It's really unacceptable and strange that the victims of one of the cruelest dictatorships ever don't have a day of commemoration." The UN is obviously resistant.

I think that was in 2018, but it was nauseating. There's probably nowhere in the world where communism should be considered outside the Overton window more than in Europe. It literally cost half the continent half a century and had the other half on the constant brink of nuclear war for the same period of time. Despite that, Europeans very much buy into the idea that communism itself isn't that terrible but that the guys who ran the Soviet Union were just corrupt. It's a variant on "it has never really been tried."

Obviously, fascism and Nazism are well outside of the Overton window. They should be. However, what's worrisome is that if you put fascism as outside the window but don't put communism outside the window, then you're leaving yourself open to another abusive ideology and regime. Furthermore, you don't really know why fascism was bad.

Somewhere around then they had some celebration about the fall of the wall. Merkel was there. I think even the Russians were there. Not a single one of them mentioned Reagan. I just dont know how you do that.

Very easily. Reagan isn't viewed as the hero of the Berlin Wall here. Kennedy with the "Ich bin ein Berliner" comment is viewed as the hero. There are streets and squares named after Kennedy in Germany and in Berlin, and he's universally admired. There is a statue of Reagan in Berlin where the speech was made, but that's about it. And of course, the statue is controversial. They don't really want it there. In reality, both made important speeches in Berlin and should be honored without any reservation at all.

What's really disturbing is that far more elaborate than anything honoring Kennedy or Reagan are the Soviet war memorials. Why honor a regime that put a big chunk of their country under totalitarian rule and murdered a bunch of their people? It's a crock of ******* ********. And of course, they think Gorbachev was great for "letting" them tear down the wall. That's stupid, because Gorbachev wasn't a fan of tearing it down and didn't like reunification. He "let" them do it because he had no practical choice.

And even in the more recent era, the European Union is viewed as the true force for peace in Europe over the last 60 years - not NATO and definitely not the United States. Lots of historic revision over here, and of course, it all wildly favors the Left.

But at least nobody will say they're racist - at least not because of this. They'll call them racist for other reasons.

That will make for a great tombstone quote - "He and his entire family may be dead, but at least no one can call them racist."

Is it really worth giving up royalty for that?

To me, no. Voice over work has its perks -- good pay, nice hours, casual dress, no wasted hours on hair and makeup and so forth. But I've never really thought of it as a 'dream job.'

Does "I am the voice of a cartoon elephant" sound better than "Her Royal Highness?"
Feminism has been trying (mostly unsuccessful) for decades to get little girls to give up the dream of wanting to grow up to be a princess. Maybe the propaganda hit home with Miss Markel?
