Trouble in Paradise?

Apparently only a few left from last year’s heralded class and they were the troublemakers. Thus it is the sophomores and juniors who are leaving who believe they have been passed up by the freshman. This means that Jimbo has to bring in a lot of freshman and transfers to get back to 85. Team cohesion and depth likely an issue next year. Aggy could surprise to the upside in 2 years though.

Damn - that is brutal. >50% of their scholarship players are out the door. But, a strong portal presence could benefit them with some seasoned mercenaries arriving.

However, the whole persona of the 12th man becomes more of a farce as NIL $$$ and portal players bring in non-aggy believers, 2%-ers, if you will. Piss poor, stubborn coaches. Mercenary players - I see a reality TV show in the making.

Granted A&M is a dumpster but with this NIL anyone could be next.It seems these kids are just shopping for more money. This is going to get worse before it is better. It wont be long until money has to dry up.

At 5-7 there is a lot of upside. And this was the year. Jimbo will still be there in two years and signing day is this week. My guess there is trouble finding new OC. Last i looked Aggie and Vany were the only SEC teams without portal gains. How do you fill that many vacancies starting from a 15th ranked class and no portal wins two days before early signing? Doesn't seem possible.

Aggie has transitioned from the 12th man to "The Replacements".

Coaching community has several branches, but the really good ones make up a small group. Jimbo pulled off a coup getting Darrell Dickey, but then wouldn't let him do his job. His demotion and subsequent termination was broadcast loud and clear throughout the coaching world. Then, Jimbo has a chance to save face by hiring Bobby Petrino - hello Weigman Hype$man and playoffs. He turned them down for UNLV; UNLV! NO ONE DOES THAT, unless you won't work with/for Jimbo.

Any truth to the story that A&M posted the OC job under "Fall Guy"?
