It's not talked about nearly enough, but antisemitism in Europe is probably more intense than it has been since the 1930s. Not surprising. White Europeans aren't particularly sympathetic to Jews, and they've imported and mollycoddled the biggest Jew-haters on the planet. It's a toxic combination. If I was Jewish, I'd really think twice before staying in Europe.

Do the numbers stated here even justify their conclusion that it's 'divisive' and 'controversial?'

I get your point, in that yes, moderates are a key to identifying plots and trying to stop attacks before they take place.

But I don't think you maintain a good relationship by coddling, by turning a blind eye to issues that are being created by conflicts in the communities, or simply taking a hands-off approach to immigration. When those things take place, I don't think it makes that much difference whether the moderates like the police.

Ultimately it seems as if terrorists attack where they sense weakness, and weakness to them is doubt in the "mission" - when a country starts hand-wringing about their role in the various Muslim conflicts, then that to them is a sign that if they keep attacking, eventually they will get what they want. That's actually why I was a pretty big fan of Trump recognizing Jerusalem as he did (provided he goes through with it - every president says the same thing, the difference is that people are afraid Trump will actually ACT on it.) I tend to agree with Ben Shapiro's take that Hamas is continually emboldened by the idea that taking back control of Jerusalem is a possibility. As long as there is no formal recognition of Jerusalem as being part of Israel, they can still believe that if they push and fight hard enough, eventually Jerusalem will be ceded to the Palestinians. (Which of course will immediately signal the beginning of the move to drive Jews out of Jerusalem completely and destroy any Christian/Jewish holy sites.) That's the goal, and there's no consensus that it's being taken off the table by the world powers.
 
That's a "safe" story for the MSM. Only anglo names, no Arabic names. Doesn't threaten Ihan Omar's safety in any way.
 
I think the good news in Bangladesh is that there are consequences for killing a sexually victimized female. Sadly enough the outcomes used to favor the men, who through the lens of Western values are horrific villains.

Article said the abuses occurred in the 80’s and speculating they are happening now. I don’t dispute harsh treatment of the current protestors.
 
Why would you think Iran is not still doing that? We know young women have been killed in past few weeks.
In article it states that family members and activists are reporting it is still happening.
It is exactly the perverted adherence to Islam radicals would use to stifle protests by girls

I think your use of the word "lie" is problematic. I feel confident there is some truth to the story, but that the propaganda comes in the form of exaggerated degree and other means to inflame the population.

Yeah, I don't understand the desire to presume the story is a lie, especially when the current Administration and its CIA largely have a policy of appeasement towards Iran.
 
Not sure what his point is. He certainly isn't denying how many have been arrested or that executions have already taken place or that 227 members of Iran's parliament have advocated for execution of the protesters or that Iran did execute 6,000 not long ago. Everything he posted reveals the brutality of the regime

So what is his point? That since the 15,000 haven't been executed YET the outside world shouldn't comment on it?
Or maybe he forgot the sarc tag?

He is saying that accuracy matters, which used to be the convention until TDS blossomed after Trump’s election and journalism ethics were jettisoned.

Have there been media saying 15,000 HAVE been executed? If so I agree with him.

But if it has been reported that there are 15,000 who have been arrested and COULD be executed then the reporting is right

No. Lie. It is what the intelligence community has been doing to us for decades now. You will either believe it or question it. I am willing to change my opinion based on substantiation. But there have been so many lies told by the media to make our foreign opponents look like monsters that I would be foolish to take at face value. It started at least as far back as WW1.

I don't agree with that at all. The Obama Administration signed the nuclear program deal. But Biden hasn't reestablished it. Iran is one of the big baddies out there that the government wants us to be afraid of or hold in disgust.
