To be fair, Obama didn't try to transition all AIDS funding to LGBT organizations towards conversion therapy like Pence did in 2000. I'm not saying that's why they were booing but there in a liberal crowd there is monumental daylight between Obama and Pence's social policies.

That's because Middle America "Flyover Country" people are generally amicable, respectful, kind people. They don't walk around hating people because of their politics. That's not in their nature.

The mainstream liberal mindset is that they are on the "Right side of History." That is the mindset of regular liberals...not just the rioters.

Did you watch a Trump rally? Neither side has a monopoly on "hating people because of their politics". Heck, this board should be a clue to that.

Each side has their loonies. The liberals have their rioters and people that assault others. The republicans have...people that go to Trunp rallies. See the difference?

And again, I have plenty of conservative friends from Texas and the military and plenty of liberal friends from New England/NYC and Yale. My friends on both sides are the level headed mature ones of their respective politcal loyalties and are indictive of the vast majority of people who care about politics. None of my conservative friends went to a Trump rally, and none of my liberal friends are rioters.

My liberal friends believe they are on the right side of history, are not talking to family members who voted for Trump, and think Trump voters are racist. They take their politics much more personally.

You seem to always try to lump the other side as doing the same like it's equal. There is nothing equal about the two parties. You can point out on only one hand incidents Trump supporters did through the whole election process at his rallies that is crossing the line. Usually its someone from the left trying to prevent Trump and Support's free speech. You can't count on one hand the daily hate and intolerance of the left toward anybody that voted for Trump. Many times it's physical. So stop with the "they all do it on both sides" BS.

Your head is in the sand if you think what the left supporters are doing is just normal for both sides. This cup cake attitude they have needs to grow up and get over it. Trump is our next President and he will probably get another term thanks to those same cupcakes and the left media.

I don't know why you're so incredulous Husker. Personality types are not uniform across groups and tribes. To think otherwise would be, as Interstate 35 said, putting your head in the sand.

- Students at Brown have different personalities than students at the Naval Academy
- Professionals in finance and energy have different personalities than professionals in entertainment and the arts
- Texans are friendlier than New Yorkers

The same goes for liberals and conservatives. In addition to liberals just having different personalities, they have also adopted this "we're on the Right Side of History" point of view. That makes them take their politics more personally and makes them more rigid and less empathetic of other points of view.

Going back to the question - the people, Middle Americans, that these liberal media elites alienate generally aren't like that. And as statistics show, will continue to consume media and entertainment produced by these liberals despite their politics.

Liberals always take it more personally - it's their life mission to control everybody. Conservatives only get that involved in a election when they've had up to here with liberals.
