The Protesters: Useful Idiots

The battle cry is that Trump is not their President. They say he is unfit; not because of lack of knowledge or policy concerns, but because he fails their litmus test of morality. You see, he is a racist who also demeans women.

But for Hillary, no moral litmus test exists. She is a habitual liar, has in effect taken bribes in exchange for political favors and access, has no respect for the law, and is directly responsible for initiating a war of choice against Libya which resulted in the death of thousands, a wave of migration across Europe which threatens stability and unleashes terror against the West.

But Hillary hasn't been indicted. When she speaks, she does so in a politically correct manner. Trump does not speak with political correctness. He must go.

My guess is that behind the scenes pushers of globalization (Soros etc.) are supplying support to instigators such as BLM and others who then steer the dupes - useful idiots - to march in the streets. The battle of globalization is being waged via the banner of political correctness through useful idiots.

This is the more childish side of the liberal spectrum. Are some organizers being funded by well heeled donors? Maybe but I think too much credit is being given to liberal causes. Look no further than the Arab Spring and the use of social media. You and I can quickly organize our own protest if we have enough influence and are tied into the right causes. Heck, my kids show me how High School parties become out-of-control ragers with a simple post on Facebook, Instragram or SnapChat.

As I sat in my car obstructed by the protesters in Seattle last night my first thought was that I sincerely hope they voted because if not they have no leg to stand on.

In the end, move on. The election is over. Trump is POTUS-elect. If you don't like that then start laying the groundwork now to get your preferred candidate elected in 2020. That effort should start not in a metropolitan area but rather rural middle-america.

I see barry did his own protest. According to the WSJ he refused to have a pic of Michelle and Him greeting Donald and Melania on their first visit. It had been done by most Potus especially in last few administrations. There is of course a pic of President and Laura getting the Obama .
I wonder if Obama staff will destroy the letter T on all the puters?

Maybe the Russians did it?

That first Presidential intel briefing will be interesting as Trump likely learns what was evidence was behind their public assessment. POTUS-elect Trump will be fortunate that the intel briefings are fact based and they don't get a chance to say "remember when you said...".

Not sure where that picture was taken from but the anarchists have been a problem on the West Coast for years. Most of them live in Oregon then travel the West Coast for any excuse to raise a ruckus.

These are the "****-flinging monkeys" that Larry T. Spider used to refer to. However, one police department has found a way to deal with it. Link.

People scoff at this, but I've seen it first hand. Back when I was much more politically involved (during my Young Conservatives of Texas days), I was asked to join a "counter-protest" (to protest the protestors) at an Exxon Mobil stockholders meeting in Dallas. Seemed like a goofy idea and wasn't the kind of activism I usually did, but I had nothing else going. Besides, who's going to turn down a chance to make fun of a mess of dirty hippies and then go drink beer with your buddies?

The protestors were whining about Exxon Mobil not being environmentally friendly and not giving domestic partnership benefits to gay employees. After a while (and after the media left, of course), they started BSing with us a little, and they admitted to us that they were getting paid to be there. Was it by the Sierra Club, Greenpeace, or some other environmental group? No, they were getting paid by British Petroleum, and typical for SJWs, they didn't understand why that undermined their position or made them look unprincipled.

To be fair, Obama didn't insult women, latinos, asians, muslims, etc. Many didn't like his policies but outside of the crazies advancing the "Kenyan" crap, he was generally a likeable POTUS.
He threatened citizens rights such as gun ownership, religious liberty, free speech, abusive government regulations, etc

Each were policy choices. I'm sure you'll try but I can't fathom an argument that Obama was as divisive as Trump was during this campaign. Literally, an Obama "insult" was people clinging to their guns or discussing how much Whole Foods charges for arugula. Conversely, Trump talked about Megyn Kelly's menstrual cycle, Carly Fiorna's face, the infamous Access Hollywood incident. Trump got personal.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Coercing religious organizations with government mandates they oppose on religious grounds is not personal?

On my Facebook feed, there have been over 20 or so photographs of racist graffiti with Trump's name involved, pictures of college age kids in blackface, video of kids chanting "build a wall" during school lunches, leaflets with horrible messages dropped, etc.

I have no doubt that many of these things are a coordinated "attack" if you will by anti-Trump people...I don't think all of these people have been waiting in the wings to spew hatred of others and that Trump's victory "has allowed this to happen", as my friends believe. (if anyone has proof of this, please share it here so I can talk some friends off the ledge)
However, some of this is real. I find it repellant and while I, unlike many, don't put the blame on Trump's shoulders, I do see that a small percentage of his supporters may feel he has tapped in to their hatred, such as the KKK due to remarks he made during the election.

Rightly, or wrongly, Trump would earn major cred, (and it would be the right thing to do), to come out and strongly denounce any of these activities right now. I think he should have stopped it during the late phases of the election...the chants of "lock her up", and "build a wall" are nasty, and things like the wall can be read as racist.
Most people who didn't vote for him are now in the phase of giving him a tiny chance with a short rope. That may be unfair, but that is the reality.
Trump needs to make a strong statement about being inclusive, and denounce any type of racist activity associated with his name attached.

I have tried to put myself in to the shoes of my friends who are legit scared, in their minds, that their world has been blown up. I have not been a Trump supporter, but was an "anyone but Hillary" so I have mixed feelings about all of this.
My main thoughts now turn to how do we go about uniting a fractured country. I got a glimpse into the mind of some of my friends when I saw an article saying that Kanye was pondering a 2020 Presidential run.
I was appalled at the thought, and the thought that he might just be able to pull it off. As the saying goes, "seek first to understand", and I think I have an idea of how all these angry, frightened people feel right now.

So please, President-elect Donald Trump. Call an end to any racist activity with your name attached. I know Obama was silent many times when I thought he should have spoken up on racial situations, and I remember how it made me feel. Go high on this one.
It won't stop it, but it will send a message, and at least be a ray of hope to half of this country. We need to work on getting the country back on track, together.

My wife is a middle school teacher. Yesterday she noticed a hispanic boy in her class that looked like he had been crying and was clearly distraught. She pulled him aside to ask him what was wrong and he shared that his parents are both illegal immigrants. He was born in the US but is mortified that his family will be impacted by a Trump administration.

How does a teacher handle this? My wife alerted the counselor and his other teachers for awareness even though there is nothing they can do.

I'm skeptical of some of the stories of kids harassing ethnic and religious minority students.

Hopefully, they will be impacted by a Trump administration. That's because a Trump administration will follow the law. You know, that little set of ideas that keeps us moving along in a somewhat organized fashion.

Your friends seem to be unable to distinguish fact from CNN fiction. A wall is anything but racist. It is a way to help prevent illegal aliens from entering our country. "Lock her up" is not nasty, it is a logical result of her intentionally breaking the law to engage in dubious fundraising activities.

The media has spent 18 months portraying Trump as racist, homophobic, anti-immigrant, anti-Semitic, anti-handicapped, anti-woman, anti-pick a "protected class". All of that is total hogwash. Those narratives are derived by DNC operatives and disseminated by liberal reporters in cahoots with the DNC.

The absolute idiocy of people that actually buy into this fictional bile is sad. What pawns they are.

Considering what she's done, "locking her up" would be letting her off lightly. She would have ended up like Nicolae Ceausescu in a different environment.
