The Price of Oil is dropping rapidly

The primary animating quality for conservatives are social issues. What you are proposing is equivalent of if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

Not all the colors... what about strict constructionism, which at the core (at least from my point of view), is about reining in the politicization of the law. That is another animation of Conservatism. Not to create inequity, but instead to maintain the order, devoid of political ambition, that we all know is required for true equality.

Price drop - Capitalism adjusting to what the market will bear and now realizing the golden goose must be protected? Oil companies taking their tribute but suddenly realizing you can't always get what you want so they back off to maintain their price advantage over all electric in homes around the world?

Putin and the enviros - How would I know what is happening? Fox is a bit too one-sided for me to believe. But hey, this guy is capable of anything. Would the enviros go to bed with him while supporting the impeachment of Trump because he was in bed with him? They're just folks you know. Obsessive folks who might be capable of anything and everything to get their sick little minds in charge of us all.

Builders and developers will quickly find that many buyers won't touch cheap new construction that is all electric. This is doubly true in any place that has gone through prolonged outages or is subject to rolling blackouts. And anyone who has lived in a home with gas knows that a hot shower is a relief even when the hurricane knocks power lines down mid-summer...

Just like with the Soros money, Vlad isn't the one who signed the check. It is laundered more effectively than the cartel ever dreamed of doing. There is not a lot of vetting that goes on with the donations...

Russians were behind both sides of the organization of this Houston rally in 2016. A Russian Facebook page organized a protest in Texas. A different Russian page launched the counterprotest.

Biden admin is so stupid. Harm not only US energy independence and economy while promoting Green New Deal to satisfy woke left.

Joe is so smooth- thinks he can push push America hating Shiite Iran deal, while begging them to pump more oil.

In the meantime, while Iran deal is pissing off big Iran enemy Sunni Saudi's to consider taking Chinese Yuan vs $ for oil. Oh while also begging the Saudi's to pump more oil.

Trust in Uncle Ho and Kamala... it will all work out.

Where is my math wrong?

42 gallons in a barrel

Approximately 11-14 gallons of gasoline from a barrel

Pipeline is $9/barrel cheaper than Buffet/Democrats RR

I'm tired and old, but does that mean saving $2.57 a gallon? If not, at this point a $1 a gallon would be welcome relief.

Some of you educate me. A friend tells me that diesel is a byproduct of gasoline production. Is that accurate?

And so is jet fuel, plastics, et al.

I had an uncle that worked in the Gulf Oil refinery in Port Arthur (the nation's first large refinery - thank you Mellon family). He spent vacations going to major airports (LAX, Dulles, etc) and paying to go on what used to be observation decks to watch jets takeoff and land. He was amazed that something so big could be powered by a byproduct that wouldn't run in his lawnmower.

Sort of, but not really. It's a product of breaking down the crude oil which creates many things including diesel and gasoline.

As noted...sort of.

And, it has been complicated by the various EPA interventions into the process, which in turn, has driven the price up substantially in the past 15 years or so...diesel used to be a lot cheaper than regular unleaded. Now it is often a dollar or more HIGHER...which, in turn, means you pay more at the store for everything coming over land, by train or truck.

To add on to the complication, when gas prices go this high the average American consumption declines however diesel consumption does not decline due to the nature of our transportation systems relying heavily on it. As a result the higher the price of gasoline, the gap in price to diesel gets wider due to decreased overall production.

You Texans do know your oil. That's what Saban says anyway. :)
Some of us grew up with it because of how our parents were employed...and the stocks that we held.

That said, XOM is paying the same dividend now that they were paying when the stock was in the 30's two years ago.

My cousin married a private Texas Oil guy. Great guy. Hell I may argue with him here. I'm sure we disagree politically. His daughter went to OU. It made me smile. :)

Anyone that refuses in this day and age to believe the role that regulations play in gas pricing need only look at California, New York, or other uber-liberal State and contrast their prices with places like Texas, Oklahoma, and other States that didn't over-regulate emissions.

The difference in taxes is NOT the reason some States have such high prices. It is the requirement for refiners to cater to the enviro-whackos. Taxes do not account for two dollars a gallon difference between Texas and those other jurisdictions.

But the left refuses to look at the real-world economic impact of their crappy over-regulation of industries...
