The Media Industry

Yep. One thing I do not understand about most Republicans is why they constantly try to play nice with people who never, ever have anything positive to say about them.

That's about 75 percent of the reason why Trump is in the White House today. Conservative voters are sick of nominating people who apologize for them, and Trump didn't.

Agreed. The Republican "leaders" are so afraid of bad press. That is why the MINORITY party has been able to delay cabinet appointments, etc. Very weak.

Yep, they didn't come to Trump's defense during the Comey hearings or after. When it comes to the old Republican guard, like McCain, there really is no difference between Repubs and Dems.

NBC coming to grips with the realization they made "a fundamental mistake about Megyn Kelly which is they think she’s a super star”

No kidding.
We tried to tell them in here, but they werent listening. It never made sense. She's not very likeable. Which means she was bound to fail in this format. Round peg in a square hole.

I do admit I somewhat enjoy that neither side in this understands what happened. NBC is clueless.

Sorry, Rachel Maddow triggers me or something.
I can't watch more than a few seconds of that woman. >shudder< She is reporting news as if she is an actor. Waving her hands around, asking rhetorical questions, and going off on really long tangents.

I think she is an even worse shill than Hannity is for Fox, and that is saying something.

Sorry, Rachel Maddow triggers me or something.....

Did you also dislike the Harry Potter movies?
Ive never been able to not make that association
Is this intentional on her part?

The MSM is reporting on a false non-story of Trump colluding with Russian when they themselves have been busted with colluding with the DNC. They have 1,000% more to do with the election that all the other countries put together.......... and their candidate still lost big in the electorate.

wholeheartedly agree. The MSM is incredibly biased and has become a tool for propaganda and influence (rather than inform) campaigns. They need to be held accountable for their crap every chance we get.

BUT....don't let the MSM poor standards whitewash the fact the it does appear that Russia tried to impact our elections as well. That is every bit as bad and we need to take whatever measures we can to stamp this out as soon as possible.

She is a disgrace, but the only way to really get rid of her is to get rid of cable, because she gets a piece of your bill. I don't know what you watch on TV, but I'll bet you can get it without paying a lot of money to a very sleazy industry which then gives it to people like Rachel Maddow. If I ever move back to the US, I'll never be a subscriber again. I still can't believe I used to pay those jokers at Time Warner $100 per month.

It's crazy where we are at this time where one of our (the peoples) watch dogs are actually a branch of the democratic party. Not a lean or strong lean to the left or right, but actually a mouthpiece for one of the parties. An advocate that tries to present themselves as a news organization to find the truth, when they really try to hide the truth about one side and actually makes up stuff about the other. CNN has zero integrity and all day long run negative narratives that are mostly lies. They are already no different than the National Inquirer. If they run one report about a Martian hopping off an UFO to pick up some hookers they will actually surpass the NI. Don't laugh because they will eventually report that.

How dare you slander the National Inquirer like that.

The NI knew people enjoyed laughing at their absurd claims and made it their market niche. They never demanded to be viewed as legit, but instead embraced the entertainment aspect like professional wrestling.

CNN is claiming their lies about very serious matters are legit and our country is in extreme crisis. What they're doing is not only unethical but threatens the safety of those who vote for opposing policies or persons.

CNN's irresponsibility would be akin to the WWE promoting their product as real combat and violence. So when a 280 pound male wrestler pile-drives a female manager, we're all led to believe a female was just assaulted by a roided up giant. Wouldn't be long until an unstable fan attacked or shot a wrestler after being brainwashed the drama was real.

Do you want to know what prompted this?

It was this...
Speaking of "Fake News", the Time cover on the right is a fake. It's mounted and hanging in 5 of Donald Trump's golf courses per the WaPo. Time magazine has asked the Trump org to remove these fake covers. In a tremendously ironic twist that bar code is actually to a Karaoke DJ machine. I think we now know why Donald Trump believes he's been on the cover of Time more than anyone else, ever. I suspect "Jason Miller" may have somehow been involved.

Donald Trump doesn't like when his own lies are exposed. Like a bully his only recourse is to punch.

CNN's Brain Seltzer has been whiny today
Blaming other people for CNN's problems
Upset the WH press people call on conservative media outlets for questions

Dave Rubin calls him out for it. Says Seltzer is full of it

For all of Trump's efforts to beat up MSM for articles that are unfavorable to him, according to a recent Survey Monkey poll CNN still is more trusted than Trump.

Who do you trust more:
Trump: 43%
CNN: 50%
Don't know: 7%

Other interesting info:
Asked whether they trust Trump or the WashPost/NYT more, the newspapers won by 9 points among all adults. Asked about Trump vs. ABC/CBS/NBC, the networks were judged more trustworthy by an 11-point margin. Republicans had a similar disproportionate trust in Trump.

The online poll of 4,965 adults, taken June 29 to July 3 (error estimate: +/- 2.5 points), found:

  • 33% of Republicans say they get their news only from Fox.
  • 64% of all adults disapprove of Trump's use of Twitter (89% Dems, 38% Republicans).
  • Describing his tweets (all adults): undignified 47% ... mean 34% ... entertaining 26% ... presidential 7%.
Jon Cohen, Survey Monkey's SVP, survey research, emails me his takeaways:

  • "A red flag for Democrats continues to be a perception that Trump is isolating himself from the GOP base with his tweets. Not only do most Republicans approve of his use of Twitter, but asked to describe those tweets, the No. 1 mention among the GOP is 'truthful,' with 'entertaining' in second place."
  • "[T]he biggest danger for Republicans is that they grow content with firing up the base: Fully three-quarters of pure independents (those that don't lean one way or the other) disapprove of Trump's tweeting, and their top three descriptors for it are 'undignified,' 'mean,' and 'dishonest.'"

CNN has unleashed the Kraken on themselves this weekend after blackmailing the creator of the CNN-WWE video:

Someone has been hanging out on Reddit. The poster that was "outed" was a 1-person validation of everything that is wrong with the alt-right. He repeatedly referred to African American's with the n-word, he thought it funny to post pictures of all the CNN personalities ensuring all the jewish had a star of david on their photo, and he claimed that he walked around Paris with a knife in his hand prepared to "throat punch any Muslim" who walked near him.

Of course, once his anonymity was blown, he backed away from all of that like most internet bullies. He claimed he was "addicted to trolling". Now the troll army is up in arms that someones own posting habits could belay their identity.

What was wrong about CNN is to claim they reserved to right to expose his name if he resumed his previous uncivil posting habits. The anonymity of the internet emboldens the dark side of the internet.

Since "freedom of speech" is the common battle cry among the /r/the_donald crowd, can one of you here that frequents that site remind them that Freedom of Speech only protects the speaker from governmental reprisals (with limits) but doesn't protect one from cultural/societal reprisals. If you want to stand on the virtual soap box and be an ******* like the aforementioned individual then when others respond in kind they are within their right.

I said for months that the alt right movement was mostly a trolling enterprise. The media said it was a symptom of rising racism, anti-semitism, etc. The media probably knew it was trolling as well but played the racism card for the election to drive out black voters for Hillary (didn't work). The only reason why the trolling works is that we have a bunch of leftist wall flowers that wilt whenever a cross word is said.
