The Media Industry

When is somebody in the press going to ask one of Brittany Griner's supporters if she liked or used hash?

Seems like an obvious question

If you are dumb enough to try and smuggle drugs through an airport and especially a foreign airport, I’m sorry but I don’t have sympathy for you.

Taylor Lorenz epitomizes everything that's wrong with young, woke journalists. She loves to try to ruin lives for self-serving and self-righteous reasons. However, she is hypersensitive to anyone who criticizes her and finds offense everywhere she can. What a miserable human.

Not ironically, she shows no empathy for someone...with covid.

Yep, I made a comment about it on WBB forum and of course got plenty of poops from the ones you would expect. I guess they didn't like it too much when I said she's not grinning anymore.

We all agree that smuggling drugs through airports is a dumb idea. But do you not think Russia is capable of making the story up since they hate Americans so much?

Possible, but I say not very likely. They have bigger fish to fry and I know Griner certainly has drugs often.

Changes things for Miss Griner, but I guess you're always supposed to plead guilty in Russia.

"While the guilty plea does mean Griner, who faces up to 10 years in prison, could be sentenced to further jail time, it's a smart strategy, said William Pomeranz, an expert on Russian law. According to Pomeranz, 99 percent of Russian court cases end in conviction. A guilty plea could result in a lighter sentence and, most crucially, it opens the door for a deal for Griner's release because Russian officials have said they won't do anything until the trial is over."

People complain about cops in every situation. With the news that one Uvalde cop asked for permission to shoot 148 yards at the shooter, people complain why not shoot since he's about to become a murderer? If that cop had shot, missed, and hit a kid, people would say cops needs to ask first and be more careful. The cop would likely get canned.

If the cop had hit the target, no kids would be murdered and cop complainers would say how dare an officer shoot so dangerously close to kids. (Recall in this situation no schools kids would be killed so we couldn't call the guy a murder.)

If a police officer killed a would be murderer and saved children's lives, the media could frame however they like, but 80% of America would consider him a hero.

On Yahoo I made the following comment about an article on Yahoo about the Nord Stream pipeline that in part fuels Germany:

"The Germans and every totalitarian/socialist/Liberal in the world mocked Trump for his warnings about relying upon Russia for energy. Just like every totalitarian/socialist/Liberal applauded when Obama said to Mitt Romney, "The 80's just called, they want their foreign policy back." These huge mistakes are evidence that their agenda is not based upon caring about the world's future vis a vis the climate, but instead the wealth transfer that is obviously going to take place."

Yahoo rejected it.
