The First 100 days

Gallup = Trump’s job approval just hit 49%, highest yet in his term.
63% approval of his handling of economy, highest in nearly 20 years.
Independent support up big as well. Impeachment has been a disaster, big help to the Trump
Trump Job Approval at Personal Best 49%

The Gallup Presidential job approval at this point in the first term:

Carter 58
Reagan 55
HW Bush 47
Clinton 52
W Bush 49
Obama 45
Trump 49

So Trump is now ahead of where Obama was at the same time in his first term, he is tied with where GWB was, and 3 behind where Clinton with 9 months to go to election day. All three won re-election.

That Carter number can’t be right. I’m sure you have a source, but hard to believe in February 1979 he had that high of approval.

Is SJL still alive? Looks like the dumbest of the dumb are joining that movement. Surely she doesn’t plan on getting left out? Maybe she already secured her seat to see Obama.

Rather have them not there than sitting there rolling their eyes.
Good for them to not be there

I usually agree with you but not here. They are chicken **** pieces of crap who can't do what most people like me would consider to be part of the job.

Peoples of the opposite party have boycotted the SOTUS before
no big deal
I rather AOC not get any attention by boycotting

Well, unlike what some people think since I'm a Republican, I would say those Rs who have done the same in the past are pieces of crap too for doing that.

I can believe it. It was a few more months before he really showed his incompetence on the Iran Hostage Crisis. Also, keep in mind that the polls didn't suggest a blowout even on election day. In fact, Carter was leading as late as October.

I was 8 years old when he was elected, but I remember gas lines, double digit interest rates and the hostage crisis. Of course, I do not remember what year of his presidency it was though when all of that took place.

ADP's private payroll report show jobs soared in January, the best monthly gain in nearly 5 years

291k vs. 150k expected (and vs. 190k in Dec)

Growth came across a swath of industries. Leisure and hospitality led with 96,000 new jobs, but education and health services also contributed 70,000 and professional and business services added 49,000. On the goods-producing side, construction rose by 47,000, the best growth since the 62,000 added in January 2019, and manufacturing was up 10,000, the biggest monthly gain since last February.

Private payrolls soar in January, the best monthly gain in nearly 5 years

The only people who agree with the way the Dems acted last night especially Pelosi are the hard core base which looks like it is shrinking faster than a cheap tee shirt.

I don't know. Unfortunately, I have a lot of relatives by marriage who aren't hardcore but probably will still vote for the Dem in November.

The Dow now back over 29,100. That’s gonna piss off democrats even more.

If he gets 82% favorability among independents moving into the election, it could be the largest landslide in history.

I also believe Trump is around 30% with the black vote. Anything over 20% and the Dems were in trouble in any election year. But we won’t see any truthful poll to show that.
