Thank You on behalf of my teammates

Awesome Season, Congratulations to you and all Longhorns and their great fans! Hook em! Best Wishes and Luck.

Chris,

Thanks for the homer, the heart, and the thoughts on our board. And I think you know how Horns around Texas and the rest of the states felt about the Title.

Pride just swells up in you. And then it does again when you see the Tower lit up with a big #1 in the Austin sky at night.

Hook 'Em Horns to you, Always. A hell of a team player.

We're Texas.

Thank YOU Chris. You epitomize everything college baseball is about. Thanks for sticking with the team when you were not playing much. And thank you for that homerun. I will never forget it.

Chris,

Thanks for the most memorable season since I have been following Texas Baseball...best of luck to you in the future.

Chris -

You've got it all wrong. You and your team mates are the ones deserving thanks from all us fans. You are the ones who made so many sacrifices, worked so hard, came together and played as champions. You are the ones who gave us so many wonderful memories. You were champions before you ever won the Big 12, the regional, the super regional, or the College World Series. Bringing home the trophy for all of us to see and marvel at just showed that to the rest of the world.

Thank you, Chris, and all your team mates for such a wonderful season. We are so proud of each and every one of you. May all life's bounties be yours. . .

Hook 'Em!

Chris,

Thanks for all you did for UT baseball!

We knew there was something really special about this team. This year several of my friends and I followed you and the team to Palo Alto, Manhattan, Norman, College Station, Arlington and Omaha. It was wonderful being able to see you and your team succeed throughout the year and then in the post-season.

And, it was sensational to see you come through like that in Omaha! You'll be remembered around these parts for the rest of your life.

Good luck in what you are doing after UT. With the heart and dedication you showed while at the University, I'm sure you'll do quite well for yourself.

I hope you get back to the Disch sometime next year so that we can all thank you in person.

Hook'em!

I love your profile Chris.

Freaking beautiful. Superlatively done this year by the whole team, and best of luck to you in the future!

Chris, how much for the baseball?

Just kidding. Congratulations from a Texas Longhorn fan in Tennessee whose wife is from Georgia.

What about the cap?

I'm kidding...I'm kidding...

Chris,
I only got to see the team in person once this year, and that was during the Super Regional against Houston. Your smash triple (or was it a double? doesn't matter now) down the line was a thing of beauty, made even more impressive by your struggle to get into the lineup this year. By the time the championship game came around and you were in the lineup, I was pulling for you hard. I couldn't believe it when you knocked it out of the park, and at such a crucial time when I was really becoming worried about a Gamecock comeback. Your expression of sheer joy as you crossed homeplate is an image which will last forever in my mind. I'll never forget the 2002 Texas Longhorn Baseball Team and I'll never forget all you did to make this a great and memorable season for all of us diehard Horns. Thanks Chris. Well done! Now get out there and put that degree to good use!

I've gone crazy the last couple of years defending the players, the pitchers, the batters, and especially the coach to bandwagon fans. I was beginning to run out of gas. I think I have a little more support now.

this past year was godsend. it truly was an amazing season.

Texas is back and you represent the best of the players that brought us back.

Dreams do come true. I am grateful that THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS finally got back to the top of the mountain - it has been a long time. I am especially happy that the individuals that found the friendship, strength and belief in each other enough to become a true team, took us back to the Promised Land of College sports!

CC, please invite everyone on the team to check out this thread. Many of your dedicated fans get frustrated and spew out doubts and negativity, but the vast majority of us have never stopped believing, and we feel like we are a part of the team, too, because we pump every ounce of energy and hope out there for you guys.

THANKS - What an unbelievable freakin' year!!!!

Thank You the Team for giving us such an exciting season. I was so glad I saw the champ game. I was on vacation but kept going up to the beach house to catch the game. I was jumping around on the deck, people thougth I was a lunitic. Great Season.

Hey Chris,

Thanks for the classy post.

I've been a fan since I was a student in the 70's. Your home run was, by far, the most exciting moment of the CWS for me. Your clutch HR reminded my of the excitment of Mike Brumley's grand slam HR against Michigan during the '83 CWS, though that one was not in the championship game.

This CWS was the latest of many for me since I started going in 1979. It was my 15 year old son's first. Thanks for making it a special and a memorable moment for us and for all UT faithful.

Good luck to you as you go forward in life.

Chris,
What a wonderful tribute to a great guy.

This 2002 season was like a "magic carpet ride", and it is still up there floating around.

I feel so lucky to have known you and many of the players and families and been part of the ride. It was a dream come true for every Texas Baseball Fan.

Thanks, and God Bless you and your entire family!

Chris, this is what Legends are made of. You and the entire UT team are Legends, and will always have your stories and memories. So do we, the fans, who knew way back in September that all of you guys had something special, a real special balance of true spirit and desire and something you wanted and believed in. God bless you and please post on this board anytime you want, it would be an honor. Tell the rest of the guys we would like to hear from them also. Hook'em Oh, the ring will speak to many people who didn't have the priviledge to watch you all this season. Good Luck!!
