Texas vs. TCU game thread

Was anyone else ever watching the spotting of the ball? It seemed like the refs were always taking .5-1 yard away from Texas and adding that to the roaches. Worthy was definitely out on the 1, not the 2, which means Bijan would've scored on 3rd down. More BS just like the call on Cook.

Like I said...I don't usually get too caught up on calls....but today was the most I thought about it since Okie st farce.
The crew was aweful and made many blatant errors impacting the game too much....all but a few went against us.
We could have played much better....but I have the refs impacting the game by at least 7-10+pts....approaching it very conservatively.
Time to move on and focus on what we need to learn and do better.
Good to win the type of game we are accustom to losing.
Plenty to work on this week.
We really needed Omeire on the field this year. Losing Okafor will hurt next week.
Need Josh back as he can cover but is also one of our better tacklers coming up from the secondary.
Need to get Bijan more runs outside the tackles.
Casey cant play that tight next week...and he MUST hit some deep balls.
Run defense needs to improve.
Less 3 man fronts please.
Better adjustments to defensive schemes...which they did a little in 2nd half to coaches credit.
Receivers still struggling to find holes in defense on short to intermediate routes.
Dicker made all kicks!
Jamison is so valuable to this team.
Any win at Amon Carter is a good one for us, so...Celebrate!

Keep in mind that he taken the points it would still have been a one score game.

Had the D not collapsed, TCU wouldn’t have scored…
Not necessarily - it would have required two 2 point conversions and it would have a been a TIE, not a loss.

Character check win for the Horns ! We didn’t fold and stayed the course. 3 turnovers and 9 points means we can do better and I believe we will. Hated the hog loss but we grew from it. We will grow from the adversity of this W too.

Absolutely. D has to not give up a 99 yard drive. 4th and 1s are converted over 60% of the time on average, but we had Bijan against a tired run defense so that's surely a low mark. A 2/3rds chance of 7 points (where if you fail the other team has to go 99 yards) is better than even a sure 3 points (where the other team has to go 75ish yards).

I'll take it. I'd rather look back and question calls after a win than after a loss. Sark is still a little overconfident in the o-line that we can line up on short yardage and run over people when they know it was coming. Herman was convinced of that, and it kept catching up to him. I was hoping Sark would buck that trend but so far no good.

The play calling was a bit predictable on the goal line. Play action to a TE is tailor made for when a team is focusing on the RB.

Overall a good win. The defense needs more stops when it counts, but with a good offense and good coaches the team is on the right track.

Still for forecasting a 9-3 season and a good bowl win, then a strong season in 22.

As annoyed as I was with the defensive play, they held TCU to 350 yards and 4.1 yards per carry. Duggan finally had a game where he DIDN'T kill us running the ball. The 99 yard drive was horrible, and I think our d-line was gassed by the game's end and really struggled. I suspect that's the kind of game this defense is going to play most outings - giving up lots of long, painfully slow drives and hopefully holding teams to field goals.
