Texas-Vanderbilt Game Thread

Yup, as some of y'all pointed out, Horns letting them hang around.... giving them some hope.

Vandy gets the ball first. Defense needs to get violent and crush 'em and no points.

That guy Tim Beck running the Vandy offense must be some sort of a genius. Why does that name seem so familiar?

This may be nitpicking, but here goes.

Have we completed one pass down the field of more than 15 yards? I’m not talking about YAC, I’m talking about actual passes that went for 15 or more yards down the field before they were completed?

This is one of my fundamental concerns with Ewers. Don’t get me wrong wrong, I love his completion ratio, which is excellent. But, he just doesn’t seem to be able to complete a pass down the field.

I’ll catch flack for this but, oh well. With Manning, there’s a threat to throw the ball 60 yards, or to takeoff and run 60 yards. Hopefully that won’t matter against Vanderbilt – and believe me, I’m still nervous – but it will matter when we play a better team with a defense.

If QE could prove that he can throw the ball down the field with any kind of proficiency, I would concede his inability to run. But I haven’t seen it much if at all this year.

I think because of the knee, Pavia will not be running as much this half

BOMAR! BOMAR! BOMAR!

Or...in the alternative, channel their inner Fayettenam police persona as if Baker Mayfield was back there...

We have a chance to dictate the direction of this game on this possession. Hang ‘em, don’t let them hang along

With Ewers no threat to run on this “kinda” zone reads it limits the offense. The right side was wide open for a qb keeper
