Exactly what I just told the bride. Everyone in the crowd keeps turning and looking at him.Whomever is shouting repeatedly and incoherently, right by the press box, should be hauled off to the asylum in a straight jacket.
Unless it an obviously mentally retarded person, he should be removed.Exactly what I just told the bride. Everyone in the crowd keeps turning and looking at him.
Well…. There’s still Olivares with a 0.00 ERA.Damn, just checked the score. Do we have any pitchers with an ERA in single digits.
Ha! That’s when the backup third basemen are on the mound for both teams. So we just lost on an extra innings stolen base at home plate, topped that the following night with an extra innings grand slammy loss, so now what? We give up an inside the park home run with bases loaded in 22nd inning?

Here's the heat-thrower. Cortez throws his fastball in the mid-to-high 90s. Aggressive, comes right at hitters, challenges batters with his fastball. (if only Ivan and Trey read these boards...) A Las Vegas guy who had originally committed to the U. of Arizona, before the aggies convinced him what an incredible opportunity he was missing out on in Bryan/College Station for 4 years. Hard breaking ball. Solid changeup. Scouts say he may have some command and control issues, but he's only given up 3 walks thus far this year.
Chris Cortez, sit at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds with impressive, present strength and twitch that his is still understanding how to utilize. has cemented himself as one of the best arms in state with a fastball that sits in the 94 to 96 mph [[in high school] with high level arm speed. His breaking ball showed serious life with 11/5 shape and sign are pointing towards it being a potential plus pitch along with a changeup that is still in the development phase, but flashed projectable arm side action with heaviness. Consistency being able to locate is one of the very few knocks on Cortez as he relies heavily on athleticism, evident by his 6.67 Laser Timed 60, at this point with his delivery and with some polish to make a few minor tweaks could make his motion that much more repeatable, in turn allowing him to live in the zone on a regular basis. Cortez stock has been on then rise over the past year and it would not be a surprise to see a team take a chance on this arm who seems to only be scratching the surface.
Sounds like a guy who can throw a really fast fastball. His control...??? Still, when you've got a guy throwing in the upper 90s, he's a dangerous strikeout threat coming out of the bullpen with their team in a tight spot. Probably has the most long-term upside potential of any ag pitcher.

Could you imagine last year’s pitching with this year’s hitting?Oh well, top 10 was nice while it lasted. After OU and TCU get through with us, top 20 will have been nice.

This guy's not bad at all; most of his 2022 numbers are so-so, but this guy is pretty good. Grad transfer from Stanford, where he made the all-PAC honorable mention team. Fastball in the high 80s to low 90s. Good change up. Crafty pitcher. In 2021, he pitched in two games at the College World Series for Stanford, allowing one run on five hits in 4.1 innings for one save and a 2.08 ERA...
Jacob Palisch is a 2017 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-5 185 lb. frame from Richardson, TX who attends Jesuit College Prep. Palisch has a long lean frame with plus projection. Full hands over head wind up, leg lift to above belt, starts delivery on line and finishes with a slightly crossed body delivery. Has high 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action, a little short for size but works for him. Has good arm speed and gets thru release point well. Change up shows good fading life and dives below knees, looks comfortable throwing it vs both right hand and left hand hitters. Slider shows potential with good tilt and break. Shows command to gloveside well, with fastball. Outstanding Student. Named to the Top Prospect List and Team at the South Underclass Showcase.
Palisch (0.77 ERA/0.83 WHIP/.188 BAA) was one of the more entertaining lefties to watch on the Cape this summer, striking out 38 while walking just five in his six starts (including two seven-inning shutouts) and 36 innings. His fastball grades out as average, sitting in the 88-91 mph velo band with good life, while his changeup and slider both sit in the low-80s. He turns over his off-speed well, producing solid arm-side fade, and his slider comes with short, sharp action that mirrors the fastball and changeup well. The high-waisted southpaw worked aggressively in the zone, often pitching off his slider early in the count to steal strikes and draw soft contact. Palisch looks the part of an early Day Two talent at present and projects as a potential back-end arm with average-or-better offerings and enough feel to work the entirety of his repertoire through any counts, both in and out of the zone. (Faleris)
A Strake Jesuit guy.
