Great observation, clearly this is the look they were going for. I think the shark mouth looked better on the P-40s in WWII

Gen. Claire Chennault who founded the American Volunteer Group in China a.k.a. The Flying Tigers in WWII. Chennault grew up in the Monroe area. The Tigers flew P-40 planes with sharks teeth painted on the nose fuselage. That’s shark teeth on the helmets
