I'll contrast Grubb's style with Howard. Howard throws stikes--not many walks, but he sure likes to drive that fast ball right down the middle of Broadway, or leaves it hanging up in the zone a lot. Howard lives dangerously. Grubbs likes to put it low. That sinking curve/slider is his bread and butter getting ground outs.Grubbs - sinker/slider pitcher; lives low in the zone (mostly); generates lots of grounders; trusts his fielders and lets them make outs. Occasional K also.

He has good numbers against grossly inferior competition. We'll see if that lasts.
