I was most upset that we looked defeated in the first inning because we never looked that way against aTm or Stanford.

Good teams are like sharks, they sense fear and it's on. We have the pitching, we have the fielding, we have the hitting. All three need to show up in 20 hours.
 
Great strategy by White to put in all the pitching staff to see how they respond!! Mac will start tomorrow. She looked pretty solid for the time she was in! Czech did ok and could certainly be used. They have Gutierrez’s number. She keeps the ball too high in the zone.
I figure the okies will start Nicole May to try and reward the senior. We can certainly hit her.
Tomorrow is a new day!

I was reminded of something that bothered me in the first inning. J Coleman started swinging her bat and checked the swing. But as part of that swing her back elbow was moving when she got hit by Kavan. She was considered HBP and took first base. When a batter moves their bat towards the ball when they get hit, isn't that a strike? Obviously not since the ump told her to take 1st. So, please explain to me the nuance of this?

It has to be a full strike, the bat has to cross the plate. No different than if it doesn't hit the batter. The bat did not cross the plate, thus no swing and HBP.

That was the correct call, but the flaky strike zone pissed me off, and Czech pitching inside on a 0-2 count.

Wish I could tell the girls how much I’m pulling for them and just how much respect they have. I just felt from the tv cameras they were so down. Maybe it was just the camera shots and the times they picked but sure made me sad.
Need to pick themselves up and do what they do!

In a poll I took online, I said that Texas would win it in 3. I just thought it might be W-L-W. I also thought that Mike would start Mac in order to keep the ball down and out of the yard. So, what do I know.

I know the fam is less confident now, then they were 24 hours ago. But, "That's why they play the game!!"

I'm feel certain that if we can grit through tonight and get a win, that tomorrow they come out on fire. I just believe right now they're thinking "Crap, OU never loses in Omaha." It's up to Mike to get them prepared to battle tonight.
 
Erased by a double play. If there was anything positive of that at bat they seem more selective at the plate.
 
I’d hafta go tekulve on Coleman coming into second standing up to disrupt the turn.

Wow, I thought she was safe. Glad to get a close call. The girl in the other one was a definite interfere.
