No kidding though, heard TH saying the other day what an intimidating environment Amon G. Carter can be blah blah blah.

TCU probably has at least half of its starters who feel wronged they weren't recruited by Texas. That and our lousy D, I don't have much confidence in Texas beating them in Fort Worth.
Quite the contrast in uniforms, our icy whites and their whatever blacks.
Patterson sure has caught a lot of crap on these boards over the years. He's a darn good coach who gets more from less than just about anyone. He can also identify the diamonds in the rough that UT, OU, etc. wouldn't even give the time of day to. He's like a younger, sweatier Bill Snyder.
Not to worry--Sam's sheer force of will, if nothing else, should get us the W on Saturday.
Well, you certainly got to see Owens yesterday. I wouldn't get down on the guy. When you throw Freshmen into the defensive backfield, at times they will play like Freshmen. No surprises there. His raw talent and closing speed is evident, he just needs the experience. Here it is our backside today -- I been wanting to see Owens, so there's that
BLB: Ossai
Rov: Adeoye
Mac: Mitchell
NB: Jones
CB: Jamison and Cook
S: Owens and Estell
Also pregame -- Kenyatta Watson is getting reps at boundary safety
Chris Adimora working at nickel
I can’t help you with being able to pick up on sarcasm.I did not go to the OU forums b4 your game w them but I bet someone there said something like this w all the Texas players they have. LSU gets a bunch too, so does Ohio State, so maybe, just maybe, you are not getting what you think, except the Qb, anyone that watches football has to like him. BTW the injury situation you are in on defense is what TCU was going through last year, except the TCU QB based on results was a huge recruiting bust.
Sounded like he sort of reiterated this after the game.Fort Worth...it scares you to death.

One of the toughest parts of coverage is to know just when to turn around and look for the ball and to make that move without losing the receiver. It's a split second sort of thing. I think he'll get there, but he's not there yet. Sort of like the ongoing development of Boyce.
He was beat by inches both times. A freshman. This part is psychological--because he's tall and he wears #44, he just sort of looks like a LB. So a football player's (and fan's) mind subconsciously tells him: 'that guy's too slow to be covering a WR.' This could end up working to our advantage later on.
