Spurs vs. Lakers

Man great game. Right down to the wire. Either team could have taken it but LA just semed to want it more. SA settled for outside shots down the stretch and it cost 'em.

Hope the rest of the series is this exciting.

13 points in the final quarter. No one wanted the rock.

They just ran out of gas last night. It stings because they blew a golden opportunity, but I think they have the better team overall.

The way I see it, they went up by 20 in LA with Ginobili having a terrible game. If the Lakers aren't going to double Duncan, he is going to kill them all series. The Lakers still have no answer for Parker. The Spurs just lost their legs. I hope they can find them, but they only have 1 day between games. Not a good sign.

The game changed when Bowen picked up his 3rd foul in the middle of the third. Kobe couldn't get it going until then, and after he got in rhythm with Bowen on the bench, the Lakers took off. They didn't bring Bowen back in until the beginning of the 4th quarter. I don't blame Pop for trying to get him some rest, especially with that lead, but by that time, the Spurs had lost momentum and had run out of gas. Stat of the night: Bruce Bowen was +18. Oh, and Finley was atrocious. The 4th quarter, when you can't buy a basket, would've seemed like a nice time to put Barry in the game, especially considering he didn't play a minute in game 7 against NO and should've been better rested than his teammates.

Bennett is not worth a ****, but, at least Ken Mauer and Tony Brothers do a decent job. As usual, just play through it and hope the refs don't get noticed because if they're not, then they've done well.

After the Laker love fest at half, it'd be really funny if SA came back and won this. They act like 9 points is the game. geez.

Ouch. Spurs got a lot to work on before game 3, but if any coach and team can get it together it's Pop and the Spurs.

Wow, just got back from seeing Indy. What the hell happened to SA. Manu and Parker both having off nights is going to spell loss just about every time. But losing by 30 points is just embarassing. I guess that game 1 come from behind victory really did take the heart out of the Spurs.

I like, how even though Pop concedes the game in the early 4th, the Lakers still keep on the throttle. Luke Walton with a 3 as time expires? Come on, show some class. I thought his dad would have taught him better than that.

I think SA takes 1 of 2 at home. They won't win in 5 or 6 as some had predicted. But who knows the Spurs have a way of turning it on at times.

the spurs are doing something right by being able to be up ~20 points in 2 out of 3 games. they just couldnt close out game 1 by making any freaking shot. i still feel pretty good about this series. reggie and charles are big time laker homers. atleast kenny isnt as biased.

All the bitching about Oberto, and he had a great game last night. You can't judge him by his box score ... he is one of the best passing posts in the league, and one of the best pick-setters. The ball moves better with Oberto on the floor.

The Lakers will not win in SA. Not once.

The only way they win this series is in a seventh game in L.A.

I'm starting to get the feeling it will be Spurs vs. winner of Detroit/Boston.

This series has 7 games written all over it. Wish the Spurs had held on in the first game, but the Lakers are hard to beat at Staples.
