SJS vs Texas

One thing I do agree with Pierce on was moving EK behind PB. 8-0 UT now with 1 out and Galvan at the plate trying to start us over again.

and he strikes out to end the inning. productive inning but still a lot of game left to play.

Agreed, i don't understand why he went with Duplantier in the last game, that was a poor decision by Pierce in my opinion and possibly cost that game.

Beats me. Or pull Morehouse after 2 very solid innings rather than let him get in trouble. I do sorta understand why he does certain things, but he tries to will certain guys to performance when it’s probably confidence they need.

yeah, i think thats what he's been doing with Flores the whole year at the plate.

O'Dowd leads off with a sinlge. O'Hara at the plate. squares to bunt. lets see if he can put it down.

EK finally gets us rolling with a bunt single, his 80th infield hit of the season....pitcher proceeds to walk the next two and coach decides to PH for O'Hara, Duplantier getting the call and I've been calling for this for at least half a season. it may not work out this time but i like the call. bases loaded 2 outs for Duplantier.

and Duplantier comes through with a base hit up the middle to score 2 runs. The kid is clutch, thats all i gotta say. 10-3 Texas. :bounce1::bounce2:

There's a lady that sits 5-6 rows up from the field, to the right of home plate every game, short blonde hair. You can see her scoring every game. But it looks like she's put her scoring book down tonight. Must've forgot to bring a pencil sharpner.

And Orange Jeebus is back.
5 HRs
2 Grand Slams
22 hits
24 runs - most since ‘95
Campbell w/ 3 doubles

Must’ve got pissed at that 6-4 loss in game 1 and unleashed the Kraken.

Horns have been very inconsistent the last month or so, never sure which team is showing up and yesterday was just another example of that. The Horns have to find some consistency or they are primed for a crash and burn type performance at a road regional.

How are they going to get that if he sets them on the bench and leaves them there?

One *very* encouraging thing I saw tonite (I was at the game) was, when we got a big lead, and Coach Pierce put in some guys who hardly ever play, when those guys got hits, the dugout just went crazy jumping all over those guys to congratulate them. This is a solid team that loves playing together and supporting each other.

If the future radar is correct there won't be a game 3. Sucks to go 1-1 against a crappy west coast team.

.

I’ve never advocated for benching someone to never see them again. I’m somewhat the opposite. Keep as many as involved as possible to given them a chance if called upon.

In the case of Daly, he should have had some downtime prior to whatever is he doing to him now. Don’t move him to 6th after a big game. Let him settle into a spot and build over several games.

For Morehouse, it should be give him an inning, maybe two. Let him exit with confidence. I wouldn’t go “well, he’s doing well, let’s give him another inning.”

Hurley was similar. Nixon last year.

:brickwall: Duplantier throws a wild pitch to the ******* back stop and scores both runs. Spartans up 5-4
I watched these 2 games on recording.

After watching the first game, I had to take down my framed poster of Andre DuPlantier from the wall.
