You're the one who asked for another example of teams dealing with and overcoming injuries... so what better one? You didn't like that one so once again you attack in that old angry person way that you do. I'm sorry you're such a bitter old lemon... life must REALLY be miserable for you. And to reiterate... Aston has had it HANDED TO HER by Mulkey and, sadly enough, that's not ever going to change.
Sure. Keep being bitter that Karen is our coach. It's not changing until she misses the NCAA tournament.

Your example of Wallace getting hurt at the end of the season does NOT compare to Lashann getting injured early in the season, and Texas being without Joyner for the first 10 games or so. And, Baylor did NOT overcome Wallace's injury as they lost in the round of 16 to #6 Oregon State.

I sure am bitter that KA wastes talent and gets schooled by Baylor...and the only reason she doesn't get schooled by the others is because she's been able to out-talent them. But ol' Jeff Mitte has her predictable number now and the others soon will too. Just wait until we start losing to Texas Tech... maybe THEN you'll recognize that the coaching deficiencies are nothing minor, and go beyond X's and O's. If CdC cares ANYTHING about the program he'll proactively get out in front of the situation, because we're headed DOWN the same path as Tennessee. Yet Holly has handed it to KA the last two years. That's one thing she will be able to leave Tennessee with... credit for having re-established the winning streak over us.

Here's how to contact Chris Del Conte.

(512) 471-5757

He's been quick and responsive the two times I've contacted him. He has much more influence to take action on your concerns about Karen Aston than anyone on this board.

You sure do seem to want OUR coach and players to fail; that tells a lot about your agenda on this board. With "fans" like you, who needs enemies?

I don't want failure for my favorite program. What you don't understand is that when a coach wastes and fails to develop top-level talent, that IS failure. The kids have been failed! I don't want our program known for wasting talent and failing its student athletes.

I just would like to see everyone improve at this point.
The Coach's and the Player's.
Texas do not look good in the month of March.
That's not good.

Well, then, keep on predicting future failures. That helps the program significantly. If you call that "support", you're doing a bang-up job.

Overall, there's too much Baylor and Kim Mulkey bashing on this board. I appreciate the level of domination they've had over the Big 12 because it sets a high bar for all, including Texas and Karen Aston to strive and compete.

Coach Aston has proven that she can recruit at the highest level, but she has not proven she can coach elite talent, and getting the most out of the players, putting them in a position to emphasize their strengths. In short, her teams have not matched the sum of their talents.

This stands in stark contrast to Baylor's domination with comparable talent. But unlike Baylor, Texas continues to lose in conference to teams they shouldn't be losing to, like Iowa State (everyone knows they shoot the 3) and West Virginia (with only 6 or 7 players). On Game Plan with Karen Aston, Coach Aston had said, "It would be disrespectful to other teams in the conference to expect the Longhorns to win by double digits every game" (my paraphrase). I disagree; Baylor is blowing nearly everyone out by 20 points.

I can foresee other coaches using this against her during recruiting season, "If you go to Texas, your talent will be wasted" and it's going to have a spiraling downfall. As one other poster said, we can expect Texas to win one game at the Big 12 tournament and NCAA tournament, each. This is unacceptable. When I see Vic Schaeffer doing what he's done with ZERO McDonald's All-Americans on his rosters (A&M has struggled without him), I can't help but wonder how much success he'd have with a roster full of McDonad's All-Americans coupled with his coaching abilities.
Baylor has a message board maybe you and your friend should try it. :idk:

Are you serious? This is a Texas message board. Mulkey is trash and has been very disrespectful to our players (like Empress Davenport), coaches, and school any chance she gets, especially when holding a microphone in her hands.

Hi Mooo; to me it comes across as petty jealousy because of Baylor's and Coach Mulkey's success.

So Longhorns with differing opinions aren't permitted to share their thoughts, according to you?

The funny thing is, @loyallonghorn , that these people post things all the time that others don't agree with, but others have the common courtesy to just read it and keep moving.... recognizing everyone has a right to an opinion and the whole idea behind a message board is for posting thoughts and opinions.

However, every time something is said that they don't agree with, there's an attack. The differing opinions are, to me, kind of parallel to the diversity in this country. Diversity is a fact, but INCLUSION is an action. Those on here who attack differing opinions seem to possess a mentality equal to those who aren't about inclusion in this country. They may say that they support diversity, but their actions don't promote inclusion.

I hope he is it must hurt for him to know his dad is a weirdo.:confused2:
All humans are weirdos... some of us realize it and others don't. If you even HAVE anyone in your life... I can only imagine what they think of your grand poo-ba of upper buttcrack know-it-all opinions and subsequent actions. :rolleyes1:

Like I said, a weirdo I feel bad for your son. Hopefully the apple did in fact fall very far from the tree.:confused2: :e-face-tears:

Did I say that? Since you and your buddy think there’s too much Baylor bashing on an OPPOSING teams message board don’t you think it would be wise to go to a board that praises them and their coach that acts like a petulant child? I’m just trying to help you out.:idk:

See there @loyallonghorn... What did I tell you? What we're actually witnessing are people insecure abut their OBVIOUS limited knowledge of the game... so insecure that they attack everything and everyone who has differing opinions because THOSE opinions actually contain more basketball knowledge, which poses a threat to their egotistical, self-anointed positions as the be-all end-all experts of this forum. They take these threats very personal, so how dare we!;)

If you live in Austin, I can make arrangements for you and me to attend a WBB practice. They’ve always had an open door policy for fans to watch practice as long as it’s cleared through Operations. This may help answer some of your questions about coaching and what goes on behind the scenes.

That's your opinion. If you believe she's classy and a good role model, more power to you. I've never denied that she is a HOF coach who has won two national titles and dominated the Big 12 conference. But, she's also failed to reach the Final Four like in 5 seasons despite being a #1 seed in just about all those years. So, many would call that "underachieving" relevant to the tournament bracket.

If you ever visit the Baylor board you'll see all the nasty things they have to say about our program.

You can’t seem to kick your habit of projecting. The only person that’s shown that they’re insecure is you. You’re a weirdo the evidence is right here on display for everyone to see. You can’t seem to get it through your thick head that although Karen obviously has her flaws as a coach and the team as certainly struggled this year CDC isn’t going to come down and force her to do anything. So the fabricated stories about you WATCHING her after a game and the regurgitated post about her not being a good strategist as a coach and her players quitting on her don’t matter. My POSITION on Karen has always been that she either needs to learn and implement better X’s and O’s this off season or bring in an offensive coordinator. It’s that simple and it hasn’t changed. :rolleyes1:

You can't seem to kick your habit of claiming your FALSE sense of superiority. You are simple and lacking in knowledge... and OBVIOUSLY INSECURE ABOUT IT.

Uhhh.. thanks, but no thanks.

The mod was talking to you and quoted two of your posts to prove their point.
As if I didn't know that... What you still fail to realize is that I sincerely appreciate the mod stepping in. I don't come on here to fight, but I fight back. I don't attack people... you and "that other one" do that. Please, BOTH OF YOU, going forward don't say anything to me. Trust me, I can easily afford you the same courtesy. Notice that I never say ANYTHING to either one of you until you attack me. Thanks and have a great day.

Yeah, you only attack our coaches, and our players who you falsely accuse of having given up.

Good idea, but really, in the long run, feeding the troll will not be helpful...JMHO

... And then there's that aforementioned person that had to be removed from sitting in the aisle at TCU a few years ago, TOTALLY embarrassing the rest of the UT fans in attendance. Some people... you can dress 'em up in burnt orange, but ya' can't take 'em anywhere. :smh:

Love it when the instigator tries to play the victim, and claims they are the one being attacked.

A poster comes on here and posts their "opinions", sometimes even flat out lies about coaches and players, but doesn't anticipate that other posters won't agree with them and exercise their option to reply back. It's as if they don't have a clue how a message board works.

If you don't want other posters to disagree with you and post replies, then don't post to begin with, especially the lies about our players.
