Ricky Seals-Jones

On Ricky Seals-Jones, all I can tell you is that I feel if the decision was his he'd probably be committed to UT right now. However, it's not his decision alone to make.

Viper,

Be careful about the Aggies cars. We've had more than one of their vehicles parked at Jester. What's priceless are the ones who score 3 or 4 TDs against the Ags and then drive the Ags car to the victory party.

As for Dickerson, his mother and RSJ's mother are first cousins. Dickerson is one of the sorriest excuses for a human being I've ever met. I think the minute the father let him get involved, MB should have said, "thank you for your interest and best of luck". One things fro sure, if Dickerson has any say, RSJ may be an Aggie, but he'll be a Utah State or NMSU Aggie. Does either Mercedes or BMW make a purple car with gold interior?

I'm really sorry to see such a great talent go elsewhere, but we've lost two very talented, can't miss QBs to LSU, as well as a few others that are now working on a loading dock somewhere.

Eric Dickerson is one of the main reasons SMU got the death penalty, without question. There are undoubtedly good reasons UT backed off Ricky Seals-Jones, and his "recruiting advisor" is one of them.

I can't believe that Horn fans are still talking about this guy.

Craig James only went in that closet to call Kent Hance and ask him what to do with the five hookers.

Rivals article questions (some can argue criticizes) Mack and Horns for backing off. Seriously? Quite a judgment.

Remember the 'ole saying: fool me once (dickerson), shame on you. Fool me twice (perriloux), shame on me. Fool me thrice (is there such a word?) and I am a ******* idiot.

And for historical sake, you can throw in Dupree and gobs of other recruits over the Fred, David, John, and Mack tenure.

FWIW, Dickerson never "fooled" us. It was known from the beginning that he was up for auction.

Dupree never fooled us either. We were stupid enough to beleive it was his decision and his mother would have strong input. Marcus wanted to come to Texas. We were never thorough enough to learn about "the debts", which I'm sure Marcus knew nothing about, and I doubt his mother did either. Didn't see that on ESPN's whitewash did you?

Go ahead and throw Bill Jones in that crowd. It wasn't his decision. Didn't catch that part of the ESPN whitewash on SMU?

We've been fooled and played by some - Johnny Hector for starters. You can argue Hart Lee Dykes, maybe Cortez Martin. There are plenty of them, but not Dickerson or Dupree. For that matter, mentioning Dupree in the same thought with Dickerson is probably grounds for Marcus to sue you for slander.

I was generalizing to make a point. There is a common thread in many recruits that Texas has lost over the years, and that is that we were brought to the table as leverage by the recruit (or uncle or father or coach or "agent"). I don't know what the coaches thought but fans certainly thought we had a legitimate chance at signing them, but little didn't we know we were a pawn in a larger game.

Clearly its speculation on my part thst RSJ's recruiting drama is comparative, however as a fan once again I feel like Texas was at the table with a hidden agenda behind it.

There should be a line on which team he picks in Vegas. I'm betting Oregon or Bama. One of the okie schools could be a dark horse in the race. In earlier times I would include USC, but they may try to get off probation before going back on probation.

Duck,

I'm not sure the kid would like Saban much after teh first practice. I still believe that his "black & gold" will turn to "purple and gold" with some green trim. His mascot remains the same.

I'm with you Sabre...I'm betting he winds up with a huge taste for Cajun cooking...and I've thought he was headed in that direction, even while he was still committed to the good guys.

So you're suggesting his future coach will be qualified to give him some pointers on playing the hat game when he announces his decision? I can see that, and the boosters there are certainly old school $EC boosters.

Reports are he attended LSU-TAMU. Think he was swayed?

Dickerson dislikes Texas, but he hates A&M. While he was miserable at SMU, he holds A&M responsible for the death penalty. I still expect the bad hatter to win this one and screw it up like he has so many others.

It will be interesting to see if Colorado recruiting starts to pick up. If it does, Longhorn and Aggie legislators may start reconsidering their stands on marijuana legalization in order protect instate recruiting. After all, what's the important bottom line here?
