Seriously sumlin came by helicopter? I don't think Mack would do something so over the top like that.
 
That sealed the deal for DGB, not sure if he landed on the actual field though.

Damn he was good while he was in there. It looked like his first injury was just cramps. But then he injured the other leg making a tackle. Yes it does look like it's serious. He was carted of the field.

That said, I don't know where they landed the thing except in the middle of Shepherd. May be safer landing in Afghanastan thanout there.
 
I assume the UT offer still is valid even though he decommitted. And I also assume he will be able to fully recuperate. Possibly a lesser talent might now be in limbo in terms of recruiting.
 
Hippie, without a doubt if he had not decommitted Mack would honor the offer. It will be interesting to see what Mack does. If he steps up and says the offer is still good, RSJ will be hard pressed to pass that up.

On the other hand, Mack can not be criticized if he says, "son you just learned a hard life lesson - a commitment is just that. I committed Texas to you which you eventually declined. I wish you the best of luck at the school of your choice, but that will not be Texas."
 
No doubt he would still have an offer if he didn't decommit. You know, if I were a young man and the University of Texas offered me a scholarship and I have always loved the school, no way I would have decommit knowing their head coach would never pull the scholly no matter if I get hurt in a HS game or not.
 
It's the Mack Brown Decommit Curse.
If his recovery looks promising, he better recommit before it's too late.

Mack should still go after him. He looks a lot like Roy Williams to me.
Ricky did not look very interested in defense. Sealy should have moved him around more on defense. He should have rushed the QB some. He could have made more of an impact on the game.
He is not a QB either. He should have been a running back and slot receiver getting short passes and screens as well as hand offs.

I kept hearing the A&M fight song. Does Sealy or Pius use that tune?
 
ACL is arthroscopic day surgery now. Recovery is 6-9 months instead of 12. Hoping the kid is fine and he comes to Texas. You keep the scholly open. Too much talent and sounds like a good kid. So much better now then when I ripped my ACL in 91.
 
According to hookem.com, Texas is no longer recruiting RSJ. No reason given. If true, I suspect there must be some behind-the-scenes shenanigans taking place--maybe not involving RSJ himself, but those "advising" him. Good idea to move on IMHO.
 
Why is it that every time we have a decommit or a highly regarded Texas kid chooses a different school than Texas, according to many here it is always something afoul in the background, illegal shenanigans etc. Couldn't it be that the kid just wanted to go to a different school. This sounds a whole lot like aggie and the "RC didn't offer" line at Texags. It's used here ad nauseum.
