I don't know in this case, but typically the police investigate and turn the case over to the DA if the evidence justifies an indictment. DAs are sometimes involved in steering an investigation, but that typically happens only if the police ask for guidance.

To that woman Jahna Riley, I recently took my 10 year old daughter to the gun range to learn how to shoot, and she is a f'in natural I have her targets from that trip most of her shots are dead center in a tight grouping.
