Utah's star RB Tavion Thomas will skip tonights CCG to focus on NFL.

Wow...now not just Bowl games but conference championships apparently mean nothing.

Matters more to me than him lol
Go Utes...Beat usc!!

No, FAU cannot afford to doing more than make a dent in what we pay him.

That said, it is worth every penny we had to pay to get him as far as possible away from The Forty Acres.

My dad worked with a guy who was practically best friends with Jeff Sagarin going back to their old programming days.

Sagarin end-of-season thoughts:

1. XII rated as the best overall conference (top-to-bottom).

2. OK State finished with the worst overall strength of schedule in the XII. It's overall rating compared to everyone else in Division 1 college football? 18th out of 261. That means the XII had 10 of the top 18 strengths of schedule in the entire game.

3. UGA is a distant 1st overall, with tOSU and Bama (left out of the playoff) following them up.

4. TCU finished 3rd in the XII behind Texas and KSU. We needed to take care of business that night.

5. Highest ranked sub-.500 team? Texas A&M at #38. Right behind them at #39? Iowa State and Matt Campbell.

6. Toughest SoS in all of FBS? Colorado and its new Coach Prime.

7. Worst team in all of FBS? UMass.

8. Was UTSA really our "next best" win? They finished #58, worse than every team in the XII. ULM finished better than Colorado but behind 23 FCS teams.
Wins by strength:
KSU
OU
BU
ISU
WVU
KU
UTSA
ULM

Losses by strength:
Bama
TCU
Tech
OK State

Computer bowl spreads:
Texas (-7) vs. Washington - I avoid betting on Texas but if the spread gets closer than like 4, it might make sense.
Michigan (-4.5) vs. TCU - Not sure what to think.
UGA (-2) vs. tOSU - Seems like easy money to me but weirder things have happened.
Bama (-7) vs. KSU - I think KSU is due for a downer game after that CCG.
BU (-10) vs. AFA - Depends who doesn't participate.
OK State (push) vs. Wisc - I'd put a lot on Wisconsin right now with Sanders leaving.
Arkansas (-2.5) vs. KU - KU showed how bad they really were down the stretch (also rated worst in the XII).
Ole Miss (-3) vs. Tech - Kiffin has his new deal and Tech tends to play better in bowls than people would think. I still think Mississippi will cover.
OU (-1) vs. FSU - FSU should be favored, but by how much? I think if it starts getting above 3, that might be OU's money.
