How can you say this when, for that to happen, it would take KSU losing to kU and, while possible, i think it pretty unlikely.Guaranteed. 2 wins away.
If TCU is in the playoffs, will that open up the regular Sugar Bowl for us ( if picked over KSU, who would have just lost to TCU)How can you say this when, for that to happen, it would take KSU losing to kU and, while possible, i think it pretty unlikely.
I saw an ESPN or other nucklehead prediction for us to the Sugar, it made no sense in reality. not a prestige thing, i just like New Orleans when playing for games that generally don't matter. San Antonio is nice too. And the Rose Bowl.If TCU is in the playoffs, will that open up the regular Sugar Bowl for us ( if picked over KSU, who would have just lost to TCU)
Gonna have to Rock some Chalk. How can you say this when, for that to happen, it would take KSU losing to kU and, while possible, i think it pretty unlikely.
How unlikely did you think the OU/OSU result would be?How can you say this when, for that to happen, it would take KSU losing to kU and, while possible, i think it pretty unlikely.
Not that unlikely. I put that game on my line 2 in the pick em game. Had ou til that last second then switched to osu, stupidly, when it appeared SS would start...left it line 2 because thought it still a 50/50 game as it didnt seem hed be 100% and the team magically in sync. How unlikely did you think the OU/OSU result would be?
There are lots and lots of "upsets" in this league this year.
The Big XII/$EC deal is their Champions play in the Sugar Bowl unless they are in the CFP, which means the second-place team will play in the game. If the Conference has a CCG, the loser of that game goes to the Sugar Bowl.Guaranteed. 2 wins away.

There could be a way around the Agreement, but it has not been used as far as I can tell. So unless Texas makes the CCG, the Alamo Bowl is the first bowl open to them.
Love the anecdotal stories!Tom Herman to Boulder makes sense. The last hires CU got right were Bill McCartney and Gary Barnett. The place is a wasteland of intelligence (Have they made a quality academic hire since Joesph Frascona?)
They accused Barnett of using hookers in recruiting - HELLO, PEOPLE, that **** was going on in Boulder in the EARLY 70s. Example was a RB considered one of five best in the country. I'll spare y'all DKR's comment other than it was we ain't buying any RBs, everyone on his list is. I knew the kid's family and would visit with him. He said CU flew him on private jet to Boulder, took him to a "fancy hotel" (turned out to be ski condo). Coach told him he had to take care of paperwork for his visit, but he had ordered lunch from room service. He said 10-15 minutes later room service knocked at door - lunch was a 6' tall blonde in a long mink coat and heels. That was Friday, he said he saw the coach Sunday afternoon when they went to meet other coaches at Folsom Field.
CU is deadass broke with little to no corporate money and not much NIL. It's a very liberal administration in a very conservative town. Herman's "political ********" will go unnoticed unless he loses.
I don't think he can get a quality group of assistants. So does this fiasco last 3, 4, or 5 years?
Correct...1990...but only after the Zebras gave them a 5th down to beat Mizzou to remain undefeated.McCartney won a natty there in 90??
stats of note:
Ewers 55%
Card 69%
nuff said.
oh you prefer Ewer's lame duck throws! How many plays and how many attempts against what level of competition for how many yards of offense?
"Figures don't lie but liars do figure"
"Statistics are for losers" (unless it's baseball & Bill James)
How many losses or incompletes because each held the ball too damn long?
Face it, he isn't going to start or play until the coaches think he's the best choice or The University is paying you $8 million a year to coach him.
you prefer Ewer's lame duck throws!
My personal choice would be someone with VY's talent, James Street's commitment and leadership, the arm of Jon Aune or Rick McIvor or Benny Pace, the desire of Randy Mc Eachern or Robert Brewer, and the football brain of Todd Dodge
Love the anecdotal stories!
I actually think that Tom Herman is a pretty good football coach, compromised by immaturity and poor judgment. That said, I do think that he will be successful, perhaps very successful, at his next HC job. Colorado sounds like a good fit.
Thanks. I get looks, but I think it’s because the folks here can’t figure it out. “Hook Em” wasn’t available so I took a phonetic shot, so to speak. The car is only one of 360 RDX “PMC” models they made in orange.Dukesteer,
Love your new avatar! Do you get some honks with a hook 'em back out there?
How unlikely did you think the OU/OSU result would be?

This hasn't been Card since the last couple of games last season.Me personally to a QB eating the ball repeatedly for taking too damn long to get it out of his hand, Yes.
He will have to accept cheap and no hope of a big payout, but two or three years of behaving as an adult would put him in good standing for something like Mississippi State or aggy.IMHO, Herman will fit in well in Boulder.
