Protecting our 2nd Amendment Rights

Twenty-seventh Amendment to the United States Constitution - Wikipedia

In 2016, Zach Elkins, a professor in the UT
Department of Government, became interested in Watson's story and began to document its origins.[4]He tracked down Sharon Waite, who had left academia in the 1980s to work on her family's citrus farm.[4] Elkins suggested to Waite that they change Watson's grade.[4] In 2017, Elkins submitted a grade change form with Waite's signature and a grade change to "A+".[4] In an interview with NPR, Waite stated, "Goodness, he certainly proved he knew how to work the Constitution and what it meant and how to be politically active, [...] So, yes, I think he deserves an A after that effort — A-plus!"[11]Although the University does not give grades higher than "A," Elkins argued for an exception in this case, which is the only A+ recorded in UT's history.[4]

Sheriffs have a lot more political power than most are aware. There is a national organization for sheriffs who want to uphold the constitutional. They are accountable to voters only.

The broad idea that this sheriff is following is called Nullification. It was something the founders wrote about as a means to resist unconstitutional and illegitimate law.

I have no respect for pencil necked lawyers (no offense Deez) sitting up in offices writing laws that disproportionately affect other people. Bob Ferguson isn't man enough to go take guns away from people, but he will tell the State to go do it for him while he wears his suit around the office and gets his finger nails manicured. He is a punk.

This is ^5
" pencil necked lawyers (no offense Deez) ":coolnana:
I will say Mr D has criticized enough of his brethern to think he does not have a pencil neck
But maybe we need proof?

Gun sales breaking all-time record

According to the FBI, there have already been more than 15 million background checks this year .... putting the country on a pace to break last year’s all-time high of 28 million checks in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System.

May’s 3,091,455 background checks was the highest for any May recorded. March was the highest month on record, at 3,740,688.

Even people who have never owned a gun in their entire life are now arming themselves

The problem is there is no locus of power in the US that is actively supporting "America values" like free speech and equality under the law but at the same time impartiality for all. Anyone who speaks publicly about these ideas are attacked verbally and physically. They lose their jobs, etc.

Until there is a group or a way to be protected on some level from your life being destroyed very little people are going to speak up and push back. We won't do it individually because we can't stand up to mobs individually. We will be beaten or killed.

I posted some stuff yesterday on another thread that argues Trump needs to rework his 2020 campaign for this message

Ironically, the 2nd Amendment has probably never been stronger as some on the Left may be seeing the merits of home protection along with open carry as they protest.

Take a lesson from Russia

Warning From Russia: Americans, Never Give Up Guns | Investor's Business Daily

Writing in the newspaper Pravda, where he is a regular contributor, Stanislav Mishin, notes that one of the first things the early Communist rulers did was to disarm the population. "From that point," he says, "mass repression, mass arrests, mass deportations, mass murder, mass starvation were all a safe game for the powers that were. The worst they had to fear was a pitchfork in the guts or a knife in the back or the occasional hunting rifle."

Even with the demise of the Soviet Union, Stalin-era gun restrictions continue with Mishin giving the reason: "For those of us fighting for our traditional rights, the U.S. 2nd Amendment is a rare light in an ever-darkening room. Governments will use the excuse of trying to protect the people from maniacs and crime. But in reality, it is the bureaucrats protecting their power and position."

The experience of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union shows how gun-control is a necessary precursor to tyranny and mass murder. Imagine if every agent of the Gestapo or the Soviet secret police had made that midnight knock on the door, only to be greeted with someone holding a firearm. From King George to Josef Stalin, history shows why we have a Second Amendment.

Once people brake an iron gate you can point a gun at them. The wife was scared and was pointing the gun to protect herself. **** the trespassers and anyone saying she was wrong.

Does that fall under Castle Doctrine?
Does not private property begin inside a gated community?
Especially with posted signs
I would also think these 2 of anyone would have researched the law before defending their property

I would trust Colion Noir on this one, He is a lawyer and probably one of the most educated on gun laws in the country. He was a spokes person for the NRA for years.

Great thread w/ lots of info.
I grew up in an extremely left-wing, anti-gun household. Once I got into the real world, I began to make changes to my own personal beliefs. I purchased a Glock and got a CCL in another state 4 years ago. Up to that point, I had never fired a gun other than a .22.
I do have some questions for y'all. I'll get to them later as I'm headed out the door.

AB
If Bubba 0r LH would actually watch this I would be surprised.
This is chilling in the way Beto etc want control
