Ok, who calls himself "Dr. Interracial?" Lol.
Here's what I think is clear. Biden massively screwed up the withdrawal of forces. I don't know how much better Trump would have done, but I can't imagine that he would have done worse. It was a royal screw-up that basically hosed everybody - American civilians, Afghans who aided the West, and our NATO allies that Biden and Democrats usually say we need to be more attentive to. Obviously European leaders bellyache about the US all the time, but on this, it's hard to argue with them. For an Administration that claimed to be the "adults" and claimed to be so competent and professional, they sure looked arbitrary and sloppy.
Having said that, the crappiness of the process of our withdrawal is a short term problem. Eventually the westerners will get out. Some of those who helped the allies will become refugees (which the West will welcome and for many, it will be deservedly so), and those who don't will have their heads severed or be stoned to death and be forgotten. The two big problems that everyone from Biden to Trump supporters is forgetting is that a major supporter and enabler of terrorism has a state again and likely aspires to be a caliphate. There's no reason to assume that they won't go back to supporting and harboring terrorism again. To make matters worse, very predictably Russia and China are starting to cozy up to the Taliban to exploit our withdrawal from the region for their own empowerment.
We've managed to weaken our own position, empower terrorism, and strengthen our global enemies with one move. And while we're pointing fingers, we need to keep in mind that the long term problems would be happening regardless of who won the 2020 election, because both candidates were willing to unilaterally pull out. Furthermore, the American people were by polling supportive of it, and that is the result of the triumph of the false "endless war" narrative coupled with colossal failure to consider the consequences of withdrawal. Nobody thought about it or gave a ****. People believed there was constant fighting and troops getting killed every day, and the reality is that this hasn't been the case in several years, but we acted as though it was and our leadership was too weak to set the record straight. And of course, we're now going to face the consequences of our stupidity. Within the next few years, this move will almost surely cost American lives.
