That was just the hors d'oeuvres. According to San Antonio Express-News, he wants to spend another $3 trillion on 'boosting the economy, reducing carbon emissions , and narrowing economic inequality". He'll allegedly do this by taxing corporations and "the rich". That figure doesn't include other costs like extending temporary tax cuts meant to fight poverty, etc.
 
CASA are volunteer court appointed special advocates for children removed from homes by the state.
There are always more children than there are volunteers to help them
Dallas CASA sent out a request for volunteers to help with the 15 to 17 y o males housed at the Dallas Convention center.
The Biden people said housing them here was only
temporary as they locate the family already here and send the males to them.

Biden just announced they will use the San Diego convention center which holds 125,000 to house even more illegal aliens.

It's obvious all right. The actual "Left" is revolutionary in character and always interested in tearing things down, but without a clue how to build a successful replacement. Moderate Democrats, and even Liberals, aren't the same as the hard Left. The Left hates the non-Leftist Democrats about as much as they hate the Conservatives.

Without any malice, I'm no longer answering loaded questions with an expectation of preconceived answers based in part on the conservative talking points of the moment.

Clearly we have a problem on the border that needs to be addressed. The situation is neither acceptable nor tenable long-term. Is it currently open borders? Not when 70+% are being sent back. Keep in mind, our borders have seen an increasing amount of traffic since May of 2020 and there is always an uptick after Winter. Still, these numbers are way to high and need to be curbed as they overwhelm the refugee process (2/3rds get denied). I'm certain the hurricane devastation in 2020 is contributing to problem but also the softer language and cancellation of some Trump programs. Are the conditions these children are being held in acceptable? No. They weren't under prior administrations and aren't now. The Biden Administration has done a decent job on the Covid front but needs to address the border before it become a humanitarian crisis.
 
They don't care, and anyone who thinks otherwise is being foolish. These are all future Democrat voters. That's all they care about. Once settled in, their moms, dads, uncles, aunts, and people they once passed on the street will be allowed to move to the US and be signed up to vote. It's a way to replace the sometimes troublesome US voter who doesn't always vote Democrat, with people who always will.

Guarantee you, if groups of Ted Cruz / Marco Rubio types were running across the border, the Democrats would lock arms, elbow to elbow, to keep them out.

I am not sure releasing the illegals into the country with no NTA is a solution. Nor is allowing illegals to fly into the country with only a NTA paper.
What solutions do You think Biden Harris should implement?

It's already a humanitarian crisis and a human traffickers wet dream. The situation at the border right now is 100% where it is because of Bidens policies. This is demonstrable by the data and literally by the words of those coming here.

Biden campaigned on letting migrants in and they believed him. So they are here. Now, you personally may not believe that Trump put kids in Nazi concentration camp cages, but the people you support and voted for did. Where are they now? Silent as a dead lamb because they are pathetic hypocrites and I hope you can see that.

Good point, and well said, SH. This situation cannot continue. We cannot open the borders to everyone - the system just can't handle it. Are there some very reasonable cases for asylum? Undoubtedly - and they should be handled as quickly as possible. But it appears at the moment that the immigrant strategy is "get into the US and you'll get to stay long-term by overwhelming the system with numbers." And that has to stop.
 
The sort of situation like at the border now easily leads to the trafficking of females to places like those massage parlors that got shot up last week. Labor trafficking, sexual trafficking. The smuggling cartels are making $$$$$ off this.

Open borders appears to be the goal. Who is calling for the abolishment of ICE? It is the vision and the ruthless ambition of ELECTED officials (not some fringe group of nutjobs like QAnon) who are pushing for open borders. We are fighting against what is obviously a goal of AOC and her crew. They want to get rid of Henry Cuellar, the Laredo Democrat with more sense and emotional stability than all of them. The current statistics (which I haven't reviewed) are a sign that Joe hasn't told ICE and the Border Patrol to stand down. He doesn't have the balls to do it.
