Post Left Wing looniness here

WaPo is also reporting that Facebook hired a conservative leaning company to start a campaign to discredit TikTok.
You know, the platform with "Influencers " Slojoe hired to boost his image.

I was wondering why he didn't shut the horrid ***** down, in a loving and supportive manner of course.

And then I realized he is just a typical pussified liberal male who hasn't had a testosterone surge since puberty, and has had every bit of traditional male familial leadership role pw-ed out of him since enrolling in whatever leftist run college exchanged his daddy's tuition money for a worthless piece of paper memorializing his 4+ years of indoctrination and maleducation.

Governor Hochul sounds like a great Democrat - making the rich richer and the poor poorer! Let me guess. She campaigns on helping the little man while saying evil Republicans only want to help big business.

NY state is giving $600M to the stadium...

Unlike the Cowboys AT&T stadium which is owned by the city of Arlington. It was scheduled to be paid off early like the former baseball stadium But Arlington refinanced it to build the NEW baseball Stadium.

These sports arena and stadium deals are always slimy. There's a reason why team owners jump in the sack with politicians when they want them built. The Cowboys deal is slimy too. The Rangers deals (both for the new park and for the stadium formerly known as the Ballpark in Arlington) were also slimy. When Democrats ripped Bush for becoming extremely wealthy off the taxpayer, they weren't wrong. They just didn't have the credibility to make the accusation, because they do slimy deals with their friends too. Everybody's **** stinks on this.

These deals are always losers for taxpayers but sports has become so many people's religion that the public let's them get away with it. In the interest of "being competitive" they sell this crap to the public and then the pols, owners, etc all fleece the taxpayers. This won't change until we put sports back into the "occasional past time" bucket and not the "sports is my religion" bucket.

I think the taxpayer understands he's getting massively hosed. However, like you said, it's almost a religion or at least a matter of great local pride. Furthermore, they know that if they don't "put out," some other city will and take their team away.

For example, I remember when the Texas Rangers wanted their first new stadium back in the early '90s. It was a cruddy deal, but if Arlington had turned them down, Phoenix, Denver, Portland, Miami, and Tampa Bay were all lined up to build them a new ballpark. It wasn't like the Cowboys leaving Dallas for Irving and later for Arlington. They would have left the state and would have been totally outside the reach of Dallas-area fans. Of course, the City built them a beautiful facility that was built to last a century, and the team showed its appreciation by bitching about the heat and shaking them down for a new, air conditioned park only 25 years later.

Sports arena deals will ALWAYS benefit the owners. But people like sports.
At least the Arlington voters got a nominal say.The Ballpark in Arlington got paid off way early
Arlington voters approved half cent sales tax and a 2% hotel tax to pay for the arenas.

At least the entire state isn't paying for it.
How else can you build these gonzo arenas?

it really will take a ground swell of female voices to push the NCAA et al, to do the right thing. Unfortunately the issue is predominantly supported by conservatives and it is not permissible for a conservative to ever be right in MSM or in the identity politics arena. Therefore liberal women won't step out of line and speak their mind on this issue because it will be seen as going against the liberal upbringing and party mantras. They all know the identity politics beast they have created and they are all afraid of the woke-monster turning on them because they weren't the most woke this week. Even if it doesn't catch fire in MSM, i do think this is still an issue that many female liberals will weigh heavily when casting their next vote. this really is a big deal to female competitors. I know how much we all bitched when the other team had a boy that seemed to be competing a couple of years outside of the age group. I can only imagine how angry they are feeling when a competitor is competing a couple of balls outside of the gender group.

And it just shows that if you give them an inch, they'll take a mile. This started as, "we want to use the bathroom that by matches our gender identity and leave everyone alone." Though that was stupid, many went along to get along.

Then it became, "we want dudes competing in women's sports." I think very few are actually ok with it but go along out of fear and because sports aren't that big of a deal.

But now they also want dicks being swung around in the women's locker rooms. Harder to be ok with that. And of course, they want it drilled into small children at school. That should lead to full-on resistance - boycotts, major political activism, and if necessary, force. The Right should never give in on this.

I rarely jump on the secession bandwagon, or resist with force talk...but we are really getting to a point that I might go along with all of that. I really have had it with all of this crap and all the corporations hanging the Sword of Damocles over any employees' career that doesn't toe the line.

Agree. I'm generally a pragmatist who wants to accommodate others when possible and be a nice guy. However, there is a line at which I will advocate going all the way and yes potentially secession or resistance with force. Court packing is a line. Going after children is a line.

The media portrayal of the Thompson dude as some nice quiet person just wanting to swim is belied by the fact he parades around the ladies locker swinging his stuff knowing they can't stop him.

This.

I honestly can't remember ever picking up on any of my teachers sex life or politics in school. maybe i was oblivious, but i really think it had more to do with the schools focusing on the basic lessons and not trying to infuse race and gender lectures into every lessson.

My math word problems were "timmy has 3 apples and 5 oranges. How many pieces of fruit did timmy have?"

and not....."Susie and Linda, each have 2 straight friends and 3 LGBTQ friends. How many GOOD friends do Susie and Linda have combined?"

Well, nowadays, you could answer that Timmy has NO fruit because he got jumped on the way home from the store...

The second one is a trick question because it omits the status of both Susie and Linda...after all, what if they are really, really good friends and thus count as one of the aforementioned five for each other's count?

The answer is two good friends

The other 3 will stab you in the back the millisecond you do not kowtow to their perverted hypersexualized world view.
