Cliff Notes version - if a power isn't specifically given to the federal government in the Constitution, then it's reserved for the individual state to exercise (or not exercise, if they determine). It's a check to prevent a potentially unlimited power grab by the federal government.

These folks are genuinely unwell. Yes, they should have our empathy and support, but why not call it as it is. In fact it sounds like the writer partially understands they have mental issues.

We should encourage Progs to keep thinking about it though. Instead of saying $23 bucks for 2 weeks off is a stupid idea, even though it is.

It would be better to say, yeah we should take less money away from people. The government should cut their budget by 1% across the board. The only way we are going to solve the huge financial problems of the government is to cut spending until there is no deficit. Then keep cutting and reduce taxes on top of that.

The teachers and police unions behave in the exact manner to which Conservatives object. But since they deliver votes to the Left, they remain in power. Unions NEVER act reasonably and are cesspools of corruption due to accumulated, unaccountable power.

As much as Democrats talk about socioeconomic rights, we learned this week that they do not actually care about them. The right to health care does not apply to unvaccinated conservatives, and the right to education does not apply to poor black and Latino children in Chicago.
The real attraction of socioeconomic rights, for Democrats, is the power these rights give to the government to control our lives.
