It's because the institutions that made up the "Resistance" have destroyed their credibility. They had the media, the Justice Department, the education system, and the public health system, and in the last 8 years, they've all been utterly exposed as broadly dishonest, corrupt, and blatantly partisan. Nobody believes anything they say anymore, and the Resistance simply doesn't have any credible institutions anymore.

All they had to do was not be crazy, and they couldn't do it.

All the idiots had to do was come to Harris County and study "how to get it done and not get caught". All that corruption & graft is alive, well, & flourishing in Harris County.

Of course, they have been caught in Harris County, but they have it insulated and all the bases covered.

The problem is that there is a federal law on point. I don't have the expertise to judge the merits of the case, but he's at least not pulling this out of his a$$.

She reminds me of the story a good friend of mine used to tell about a blind date his attorneys set him up with. She was an attractive blonde just out of law school. He picked her up on Midlane in Houston, drove West on San Felipe and stopped to run into Interurban Pharmacy. In a few minutes, he walked outside as a yellow cab pulled up. My friend opened her door and told her, "I've been with you less than ten minutes and can't stand you. He'll drive you home." To his dying day he maintained that was the worst date he every went out with.

Her name - Kay Bailey (the Hutchison came later)

Singer and songwriter Ben Folds stepped down from his role as advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra, which the Kennedy Center oversees.
"Given developments at the Kennedy Center, effective today I am resigning as artistic adviser to the N.S.O. Mostly, and above all, I will miss the musicians of our nation’s symphony orchestra — just the best!" Folds wrote on Instagram.
Adam Weiner of the band Low Cut Connie has also canceled an appearance at the center next month.
"Upon learning that this institution that has run nonpartisan for 54 years is now chaired by President Trump himself and his regime, I decided I will not perform there," he wrote on social media, adding that friends and fans were going to be "directly negatively affected by this administration’s policies and messaging."
This is the kind of rejection that infuriates Donald Trump more than anything. He has long wanted to be accepted by America's cultural elites. Instead, they see him for the cruel, fascist, incompetent failure he truly is.

There will be no such act, as you suspect. These outrageous expenditures come from swamp, slush funds authorized under broad titles and statements of purpose that are completely without subsequent congressional oversight or public transparency.
