It's such a stupid term. Keeping things away from children in government-funded settings isn't "banning" them. Hustler magazine isn't in school libraries. That doesn't mean it's banned.

Just FYI - Rosie Duffield just left the Labour Party. She cited some corruption allegations against Starmer, but that's the straw that broke the camel's back. The real reason is that she unapologetically rejects gender ideology. She also doesn't hate Jews.

She might be the world's biggest advocate against gender ideology. She went from being universally adored for her books and being generally left-leaning to being rabidly hated by the Left and even threatened with prosecution in Scotland.

I think they'd let it slide if she stated her view but then let it go and focused on other stuff. But she doesn't do that. She is a lightning rod on the issue and basically comments on it every chance she gets and is totally unapologetic about it. It's a beautiful thing. Lol

By all other measures, she's still liberal - for example, she supports gay marriage, and she randomly "made" a Harry Potter character gay years after the books were published. So, it's absolutely incredible how one issue (transgender) sets off the libs in charge.

They can only tolerate dissent if you keep your mouth shut about your dissent. And on this issue, the Left really needs unanimity in messaging, because its momentum comes almost entirely from bigotry against traditionalists and intimidation. The idea that one's legal status as a man or woman should be decided entirely on a subjective basis or self-proclamation is ludicrous, and I don't believe that very many people sincerely believe it. They publicly accept it out of fear or out of contempt for the type of person who publicly rejects it.
