OU's 2005 W-L Record

This is troubling. I'm so used to sooners giving their "You do it too." or the head in the sand approach a la '73 - I'm not sure how to handle a sooner saying "I disapprove of this behavior and want something done about it."

Maybe dirtydangsooner went through an on-line master's program from his house in Dallas.....

Eh..I think somebody is forgetting what "sooner" even means.

The entire essence of that university is built on cheating. Hell, the entire state is full of 'em. That's just the truth...

Only a Sooner (or aggie I guess) could be stupid enough to think that because Bevo (which makes him quite safe to be around, even at his size) is neutered, that LONGHORNS in general are. Your analogy totally fails. Longhorns are cattle, and sooners are land thieves. One is a beautiful creature useful for food, the other cheated at settling the frontier. If you want to continue to post wrong information irrelevant to TEXAS ON THE FIELD FOOTBALL issues, pick another place to attempt your retorts, please. This thread lay long dormant until the sooner element rehashed it-- let it go again, please.

dangdirty, you're missing the point - reread my prior post. Whatever the infraction was, the sanction included loss of TV coverage for OU - and the OU fans were absolutely irate that the NCAA would dare ban their beloved sooners from TV. No remorse at having been found guilty of major violations, mind you - just resentment at being placed on the sanctions.

And just for the record, I thoroughly enjoyed my tour at Vance AFB. Base/community relations were great, I bought my first house in Enid, my two oldest sons were born in Enid (the Husker son and the Longhorn son), and my wife stayed there while I went to Southeast Asia. I found only two things to dislike about NW Oklahoma - (1) the Spring weather, but I guess that comes with the territory in Tornado Alley, and (2) sooner fans, who took obnoxious to new levels.

In response to:

"HHD, I got your point just fine. A 2 year tv ban was a rediculously harsh sanction for what happened at the player's HIGH SCHOOL. "

WTF??? Kerry Jackson had a "D" average in high school. That was on his transcript. When he went to OU, his transcript showed passing grades. If the high school people changed it, why in hell would OU get punished for it?

I suspect, but do not actually know, that after KJ enrolled at OU, somebody at Galveston Ball HS BLEW THE WHISTLE on it, and THAT was their involvement. And if it was changed at HS level, how did NCAA find out about it, since OU records would show passing grades??

Typical Switzer lack of ethics and morality.

In reply to:

"HHD, I know you'll deny it, but you've always struck me being much in the same mold as the one's you so strongly dislike. You may not be in 'real life,' but on these boards, you're as obnoxious as it gets"

HHD, you sir, are building yourself one fine reputation on these boards when a sooner calls you out for being as obnoxious as any poster we have. Congratulations!
