Our next OC and DC

For the sake of the record, the 2010s were the worst decade in history.
Here were our OCs through that decade

2010: Greg Davis
2011: Bryan Harsin/Major Applewhite
2012: Bryan Harsin/Major Applewhite
2013: Major Applewhite/Darrell Wyatt
2014: Shawn Watson/Joe Wickline
2015: Jay Norvell
2016: Sterlin Gilbert
2017-19: Tim Beck*

*2018 was the only time we made the B12 Title Game the whole decade
There were no Title games between '11-'16

You just asked if anybody failed to get pressure on us with 3 down linemen. In asking the question, obviously you were being yourself: a wiseass who loves to crap all over Tom Herman and this program while pretending to be a fan.

I gave you an answer to your rhetorical question. And now you're crawfishing to try to save face. Well, too late.

Quite while your ahead!

Hence my advice to quite while your ahead. I knew the smart *** remark was coming and there it is!

I agree the crapping on our good but not yet great coach and the whole program gets old and stale. I would prefer a more positive approach. IDE has reformed himself and is quite nice these days. Maybe there is hope for Majestic?

Probably not till we make the playoffs.
Majestic: Playoffs? Playoffs??

Ive seen Barry Odom's name come up but IT says he was never offered our DC job. The speculation is that if he is not HC at Memphis, he will go to Piglet as their DC.

Don't recall using "excuses" other than mentioning Tech did have some injuries on their defensive side of the ball. Not really an excuse for Tech since they sucked before the injuries. Can't see how that is perceived as being a smart-***.
The "who didn't?" reply to Phil Ellloit's post was to point out that errbody put pressure on us, and implied the fact Baylor did with their 3-3-5, doesn't mean that defense is worth a ****.

I think your last sentence just contradicts itself.

No..because a defense didn't have to be good to put pressure on Texas' offense. Average was good enough this year.

True, but Baylor's defense and the DL in particular really is that good. Holding OU to 23 in regulation is pretty damn good, especially with their offense unable to move the ball much (and even gave their offense great field position multiple times which is how Baylor managed to get points on the board in the first half). Roy and the two Lynches are very talented dudes who pushed a lot of people around this year.

But can you imagine how good that defense could be if they didn't run a 3-3-5 ???

There is nothing wrong with running a 3-3-5 defense if you have the right personnel to run it. Texas doesn't and that is what killed us. Any defense can be successful with the right guys executing it. It just so happened that we had the people that would have been a better fit for a 4-3 this year. The stress should be on "this year" as last year we did have the right guys to run the 3-3-5 defense.

There are situations where I'd rather run a 3-3-5 defense. This is especially true when facing a Mike Leach offense where no matter what you do you know that the QB is going to get rid of the ball too fast for your pass rush to get to him so I'd rather have more guys in pass coverage than waste them on a pass rush that will never get to the QB in the first place.
