Let me help you out there. If it's Stanford, we're headed to the West Coast and late-night games. If it's aggy, we're likely playing in the comfy confines of the Disch.
While that makes some sense, have you seen Stanford's team ERA? It's just barely shy of 6.00.:confused::confused:

The ags can't pitch well either, but Stanford's pitching staff is DII level as a whole.

Florida's 2nd baseman made a highlight reel play.

But Tech (designated the home team) also retires the side in the 1st.

:tech: :uf:

Florida has some high level athletes in the field.

The wind seems to be a factor over there.

Tech keeps banging it to LF. One of those is going to get out of the park.

UF's fielders have some cannons for arms. Very good fielding team they have there. (now that I typed that, watch them make an Error the next play...)

Chop,

Are you too young to remember when Sam & Blinn were farm teams for the Yankees?

The Yankees would give your parents cash and send you to Blinn or Sam to get playing experience; then they would sign you to a contract and send you to the rookie leagues.

Who all in MLB did they develop from that "farm system".

Chop,

I don't know of any MLB players, but when I was a kid I remember them sending a pitcher from Orange, a pitcher from Vidor, pitcher/OF from PNG, SS from PNG among others that I'm too old to recall.

The Thacker kid (one arm) from Nederland may have gone that route. Same for Albert Choate and his "Crisco ball".

Phillip Henagan (sp) from Jasper may have gone that way. Yankees finally traded him to Cleveland, where he was a relief pitcher for several years.

Not a lot of those Blinn players move on to D-1, but could be found in Florida.

UF - lead off single. Should have been a double, but Tech's LF has a cannon and the runner turned back to 1st.

I suspect it's just a matter of time before both of these batting lineups erupt and put up lots and lots of points on the scoreboard.

:tech: :uf:

Double play Tech!

Gavin Kash made an excellent scoop off the dirt. I think that dude batted around 0.400 with lots of homeruns. Where does Tech find these guys like Gavin Kash?

Tech escapes without further damage.

Top of the 5th.

Tech with a man on 1st.

Groundout

The pitchers are keeping it under control thus far. Watch out though in the 6th inning onwards when they have to go to new pitchers.

WTF was that?

UF steals 2nd base, then he takes 3rd. Tech was in a shift and nobody covered 3rd. 3rd base was wide open.

Man on 3rd. No outs.

The correct D play would be for the pitcher to run over and cover 3rd when the runner steals 2nd.

Line drive 2 run homerun Florida over the RF fence.

6-0 Florida.

The wheels are coming off Tech's bus.
