OTHER GAMES

10/31

UNC v UVA -- Mack's Tarheels look to extend their winning ways after drubbing in-state rival NC State last week.

KSU v WV -- Probably a slow, steady, constant beat down by a solid, well-coached team (KSU) against the Mountaineers. WV has home field advantage though, and it's chilly up there.

ISU v. KU -- Total shellacking. Lopsided game here. Poor Kansas.

Michigan v. Mich St -- Harbaugh has looked good early on this year. His in-state rivals are always gunning for them though. UM in this one.

aOSU v. Penn St -- The bullies of the Big 10 v. the evil empire. Look for the Bucks to show the creeps who's boss in the Big 10.

Arkansas v. #8 aTm -- The hogs haven't had much success against the ags since leaving the SWC. They should give them a run for the $ today though. The pigs secondary is nothing to sneeze at, and Mond is the ags' main weakness.
Keys to Victory & Five Burning Questions: Arkansas at Texas A&M

Navy v SMU -- Shane should rebound after the loss to Cincy. This year's Navy team is a step or two down from their success in recent years.

UNC v UVA -- Mack brings his #15 Tarheels (4-1) into that notorious neo-Nazi hotbed (Charlottesville) to take on a disappointing Cavalier squad (1-4). Mack is just off a big thrashing of in-state rival NC State, after a disappointing loss to Miami (19-14). The Heels' ground game has been strong, but the Cavs defense is solid up front against the run. Heel QB Howell will have to beat them in the air. He probably will. This UVA team does not resemble last years...

OU v Tech -- Weird things happen in night games at Lubbock. The hapless Raiders need more than home field advantage to stop Rattler and the Sooner O. Tech's O isn't so dangerous anymore without the injured QB Bowman.

Florida v Missou -- Trask leads Florida to another win.

Notre Dame v GT -- Keep an eye on this Irish team as a potential playoff contender. GT is a long-term rival of ND, but the 2-4 Jackets are just not very good this year. The big game for the Irish is next week when ND plays #1 Clemson at South Bend. Will Trevor Lawrence be back from Coronavirus protocol? I think it's normally 10 days, but we'll see what happens.
After Trevor Lawrence's positive COVID test, there's hope (and likely complications) in a return at Notre Dame

Bama v. MSU -- The Pirate starts to wish he had stayed in the PAC.

OSU is the ONLY hope for the Big 12 to get play-off money and a NYS bowl money. With Covid 19 killing the payroll, OSU wins out with help from refs to finally beat OU. KSU or OU will get the NYS bowl game, and the Big 12 will be happy. Now for OSU to get the nod over ND or Pac 12 champion, they will need those teams to have a loss, but it can happen. SEC, ACC, and Big 10 champs are in unless they have an ugly loss. A 7-0 USC gets in over 10-0 OSU. Trojans are a shiny quarter and OSU is a plugged nickel to the ESPN regime. USC return to relative status is a bigger story line than the Pokes. ND is ND. With that said, I hope I am wrong and OSU gets beat three times and doesn't even make the Big 12 title game. Anybody but OSU.
Interesting perspective. ND or Clemson will have at least 1 loss. They play each other next week. The press has no greater college football love than ND. Still, I think an undefeated OSU (probably won't happen in the first place) gets in over a 1 loss ND.

The Buckeyes still have a long, hard road to hoe to arrive at the playoff meeting undefeated.

Etienne just fumbled at the BC 1 yard line and BC scooped it up and scored on a 97 yard fumble return. BC is up by two scores.

INT Clemson. W some blatant BC holding nonetheless.

But...
Clemson gets tagged with roughing the passer—pretty questionable if you ask me.

BC still driving and with an 11 point lead. Death Valley is as quiet as a funeral.

Great “fake” field goal to draw an offsides for the first down BC.

They lined up for a FG and the holder then came under center and Clemson jumped.

Endzone pass. BC catches it on the bounce! TD BC.

BC 28
Clemson 10

A minute left in the half. No Lawrence to lead the “2 minute drill.”

BC, after a long drive and a successful fake field goal to draw Clemson offsides, scores again on a great catch of a deflected TD pass

Uiaglelei, Clemson’s backup QB, probably feels like dog poop about now, and he’s a Freshman, so I won’t pile on. All I can say is that he’s no Trevor Lawrence.

Clemson freshman backup QB is 19-26 for 222 yards, a TD, and no interceptions in the first half. That's not dog poop, imo.

The field goal play by BC was an awesome piece of coaching. Having a true game plan with situational plays available would be awesome.

With K-State likely losing today, a UT win means everybody would have a conference loss. If that happens, no telling who'll end up in the conference championship game.

C'mon, Texas—it's clobberin' time!
