OTHER GAMES

The pigs really chose their new coach well. They’ve been terrible for so long. Now they’re no team to sneeze at.

UCF and Memphis are locked in a close (5 point difference), high-scoring game with 3:40 minutes remaining on ABC. Memphis holds UCF and will get the ball back with about 2:30 left at the Memphis 15 with one time out remaining. Memphis gets two quick first downs. . . . shovel pass on fourth and three busts through for 52 yards all the way down to the UCF five. First and goal with 1:24 to play. . . . Third and goal from the 3 1/2 yard line. UCF has used all its timeouts to preserve some time if Memphis scores. TD pass with 1:08 to go. UCF is out of timeouts. Memphis is up by one so they are going for two point conversion. No good.

UCF gets the ball at its own 25 with 1:08 to go, needing only a field goal . . . . Pass complete to 39. Then another complete pass to 49. Then another completion down to the 30. Jesus. After an incompletion, another completion down to the 22. Fourth down and two. 40 yard field goal attempt. No good; he pulled it wide left. Wow--great ending to a good game.

Leach’s O only works with a good QB. He should take 2 portal transfer QBs and 2 freshman QBs next year. Maybe a JC guy as well.

Hate to say this, but imagine what he'd do with Ehlinger, whose passing strengths are a great fit, plus his scrambling would give Leach a dimension most of his QB's have not had.

He’d do very well no doubt. I think Shane would tear it up even more in a Leach system.

Memphis scored 36 points in the second half, on only 6 possessions, after falling behind 35-14.

Their strategy of going for 2 after scoring TDs when behind ended up paying off as both teams scored 7 TD and 0 FG in the game but the Tigers got an additional point out of it.

Media guy after losses to Iowa State and KState by ou and TCU victory over UT:
"Ou, Texas and the Big 12 are really down this year"

Media guy after Kentucky and SCarolina wins:
"Man Kentucky and South Carolina must be real strong this year. The SEC gets deeper and deeper and should have at least 11 teams in the top 5 this year."

Most years I'd agree with that being hypocrisy, but this year, the Big 12 went 0-3 versus the Sun Belt (and two of the games weren't close) along with Tech barely beating an FCS school.

I get you, Stat...but those losses look alot like covid anomalies to me now.
Who knows??
I dont think Big12 is amazing and I dont think sec stinks, but media hyperbole is so tiring.

Kickoff in the marquee game. Alabama gets the ball first at the 24. Did Georgia intercept the pass (which was a duck because the QB was hit while throwing)? Under review. Interception stands. Georgia's ball.

Notre Dame looked weak today but until I see the Big 10 and Pacific 12 actually get some games in, I'm not sure of many others who I'd rank higher. This is gonna really be an odd year where it's hard to pick the best teams.

They should have worked together to delay the CCG's and Bowls a bit more, allow for make up games (even cross conference) late for teams under a certain number of games, and expanded the playoffs for the one season only.

Alabama kickoff is way out of bounds. However, Georgia holds on its first play to negate the good field position. Alabama stops Georgia, and Georgia has to punt.

FSU starts second quarter with a long TD pass. 14-0. . .wait . . . under review . . .he stepped out before he scored
