OTHER GAMES

Watching some highlights now.

LSU had a number of uncharacteristic blown coverages. Their DBs looked lost. DBU is definitely not in Baton Rouge this year. Big Ed still gives his mumbling interviews though.

Yep. And that would be in the acc game. But would still get to the playoffs I figure even with a loss there, if undefeated going in.

South Carolina intercepts Auburn, inside the Auburn 30. . . . SC runner scores. Close call survives review. 9-7, Auburn up by 2

Tenn figures out passing is not working so far, so they have a good drive going on the ground. . . . Third and goal from the five. They run it straight ahead for the TD

Tenn gets the ball to start the second half, but has to punt on fourth and one. . . . Refs rule Ky receiver caught pass on the sideline, but it is overturned on review. . . . No problem--Ky completes pass for first down. . . . Then another pass for another first down . . . Then a long run inside Tenn 20. . . . Now another run for 8 yards. Short run leaves them with third and a long one to go. . . . Run for first down. QB keeps around the right end: out of bounds at the one. Second a goal from the one. Runner stoned. Third and goal. TD pass. 24-7.

Auburn has the ball, leading 16-14, barely into SCar territory early in the third. Completed pass for first down to SCar 36. . . . Auburn has to settle for a field goal.

Kentucky has the ball again. Good gain, followed by 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty on Tenn bench. Tenn still has a ways to go before they are "back." . . . Ky has second down and five at Tenn 10. . . . Third and four. Incomplete pass--flag for ineligible receiver. I thought receiver pushed off. Ky will have to try FG. Good 27-7

SCar has driven to first and goal at the 8. Pushed back to the 10 on first down. SCar draws Auburn off sides. Free play--TD pass. SCar will go for two point conversion. No good. SCar leads by one.

SCar forces Auburn to punt. Returner downed at SCar 27. SCar gets a first down and more out of a double reverse. . . . Long pass draws defensive pass interference. SCar has first down at Auburn 35. . . . Dump off pass to fullback for a first down. Auburn intercepts a tipped pass in the red zone.

SCar returns the favor and picks off Auburn--run back into the red zone. First and goal from the 8. . . . TD SCar, which now leads 27-19.

I love how when "lesser" Big12 teams win conference games the sky is falling for the league and when lesser SEC teams win games "they (the conference) is just so strong top to bottom".

Been said before but worth repeating over and over

Auburn appears to have converted on a third and 16, but the play is wiped out by a holding penalty. Third and 14. Completed pass, but 4 yards short of first down.

SCar QB fumbles snap and has to fall on it for a 5 yard loss. . . . 8 yard run makes it third and seven . . . Fine one-handed contested catch for a first down. SCar rolls for another first down. Auburn defense starting to look tired. . . . . Third and six. Runner stopped short of first down at the 21. FG try coming. Good. 30-19
