OTHER GAMES

Did Navy get their 24 straight via 8 + 8 + 8 with three successful 2-point tries?
They had a safety stuck in there.

They were down 24-0 at the half and somehow have finally managed to discover that the end zone is not an impenetrable force. It only took them 6.5 quarters of the season...

OSU 16
Tulsa 7

OSU was fortunate to come out of this game with a win. Without Sanders, their O stinks. Salty D though.

Navy converts on crucial third and 8 with the fullback up the middle. Navy trying to set up field position for game winning field goal. A minute left. 23 seconds to go when they run field goal unit onto the field. Good field goal as time expires. Good game. Biggest second half comeback in Navy history.

There’s been some interesting entertainment for a lousy slate of games this Saturday.

speaking of which, the Cajuns are in OT now.

UCF comes right back with a first down conversion on fourth down and then a 49 yard pass to the GaTech 12. TD pass on a quick slant. Tie game. 7-7 with only three minutes gone in the game.

TD Cajuns to win OT. Mitchell is a shifty little back for Louisiana. They worked Mitchell on the ground that whole decisive series. Cajuns to 2-0 and they’ll still be nationally ranked.

Louisiana is stacked with HS football talent. More than enough to support LSU, along with a few other decent programs like the Cajuns, La Tech, etc that feed off the second tier Louisiana HS talent (which is pretty darn good). Sort of like TCU or Baylor with the second tier Texas HS football talent.

Another TD for the Ponies. Mid-to-deep sideline route with some nice running after the catch. Shane and SMU are up 14-0 over UNT.

The Mean Green are sporting a weird looking bright lime green.

UNT converts a 4th down run near midfield.

Now a pass to the endzone. INT by SMU. Ponies take over at the 20 up 14-0.

Shane is still Shane, but I’m not sold on this year’s SMU team as a whole yet.

They seem strong at the skill positions but mediocre upfront. Still may be good enough to win that conference.

Now Shane is just working them down the field with short passes Colt McCoy style.

And Shane rifles it in there for a TD from around the 10–post pattern.

21-0 SMU.

Fake punt by UNT at around their own 30 on 4th and 7. Stuffed by SMU. Strange call coach ...

Now SMU with a very short field. UNT’s coach busted his headset.

They're still LA-Lafayette to me.
