Lockhart…great BBQ, yet very close to the city and proud home of the Fightin’ Austin Lockhart Lions. There's at least one in Lockhart who shares those sentiments.

LOL, that's like Canyon Randall HS being in the Canyon ISD but is actually located in Amarillo, not Canyon. And now Canyon ISD has a 3rd high school, West Plains HS, which is also within Amarillo city limits (just barely).Hebron HS in Carrollton Tx is always referred to as being in Lewisville Tx.
Hebron is in the Lewisville school district but the school is certainly not in Lewisville.
Do they now call it Lewisville Hebron?
It’s more common than you think especially in the Greater Houston area. School District boundaries and City boundaries often overlap. There are Pasadena ISD schools in the city of Houston, Fort Bend ISD schools in the city of Houston. I remember working on a project that was for Alvin ISD but the school was in the city of Pearland which is a bit crazy because Alvin and Pearland are huge rivals. And I think every school in Manvel is part of Alvin ISD. Alvin ISD is huge. I’m sure there are many other examples all over the state.LOL, that's like Canyon Randall HS being in the Canyon ISD but is actually located in Amarillo, not Canyon. Yes rectums are useful and toot their horn less. That's an insult to rectums everywhere.
It’s how AP reported HS games: city and name of school. I see your point, but is it Austin McNeil or Round Rock McNeil HS? I don’t recall. I think it is Austin though McNeil is in RRSD.Meep Meep!!! We prefer the original name….just Westlake. WHS is not in Austin and I have no idea how “ Austin Westlake “ got started.
It’s like calling Lake Travis, “Austin Lake Travis” or Katy High, “Houston Katy.”
Also borrowed by Angleton HS (my daughter’s Alma Mater). Now when I hear that song I tend to think of AHS rather than ND.
There are two other powerhouse Westlake Highs. One in Louisiana and another in Southern California. It’s how AP reported HS games: city and name of school. I see your point, but is it Austin McNeil or Round Rock McNeil HS? I don’t recall. I think it is Austin though McNeil is in RRSD.
I always liked Tyler John Tyler HS.
You'll never hear us singing the bluesWin Win for ole AHS
You do the score and we’ll do the rest
Circle in and hit em hard
They’ll never gain another yard..
Emmett Shelton Sr High..more appropriately. He was my friend and employer…clever lawyer who amassed most of Westlake Hills proper by adverse possession.and representing land owning cedar choppers in their constant shootings and various other serious legal scrapes from the 30’s to the 50’s.How about changing Westlake to the Dodge Family School. Between his father-in-law and Todd, Westlake earned the right to be called whatever they want to be called.
You'll never hear us singing the blues
We're loyal whether we win or lose
We're the Wildcats A! H! S!
We're out on the prowl again
(or something like that)
No, tell them that you are from the quaint little village of Flower Mound.Crockett,
Tell them that you're from LEWISVILLE, they are thinking you are from the hellhole better known as Loserville.
