Everyone laughed at my warnings! Who’s laughing now?We avoided a buzz saw by leaving the B12.
Even funnier is that Phil Knight blew a lot of dollars on this team.Does everyone recall that this Oregon team received every single first place vote in probably the last 5 polls of the season? Wow.
Agree. The nuts were cheering for ASU when they should have been worrying about the Irish kicking their a$$es. Every team that got a bye has lost.Irish take down Dawgs today.
The break is too long for those who get the byes.Every team that got a bye has lost.
Sorry, but what fans in some random bar cheer for or worry about really doesn't have any bearing on the outcome of the game. The nuts were cheering for ASU when they should have been worrying about the Irish kicking their a$$es.
Not possible. You'd go from 12 teams to 6 to 3. Somebody has to get a bye week. But...one week appears to be better than three. The break is too long for those who get the byes.
After they get rid of the CCGs, the order will evolve into the following all on campus (second team home team):
12 v. 1
11 v. 2
10 v. 3
9 v. 4
8 v. 5
7 v. 6
Then, bowls for the next two rounds, leading to the Championship Game, with the higher-ranked winner always being the home team.
Why it should be 8, not 12, and no bye's. 12 is too many and makes the season go too long. If you can't make the top 8 you shouldn't be in the CFP.Not possible. You'd go from 12 teams to 6 to 3. Somebody has to get a bye week. But...one week appears to be better than three.
Close gameOkay, Horn fans. What will it be today--thriller or blowout?
OK, then after the first three minutes?Close game
I’ll be surprised if it’s not competitive but I was massively surprised at how un-competitive Oregon was last night.Okay, Horn fans. What will it be today--thriller or blowout?
I agree. With both teams having excellent defenses, and Beck out for the season, I think the first one to 20 wins.Close game
Phil Knight blows……..money.Even funnier is that Phil Knight blew a lot of dollars on this team.
The university's colors are blue and gold because it was founded by French order of Catholics (not Irish), and their colors are blue and gold. That's also why the school's name is in French. Is ND’s colors dark blue and gold or green and gold? I’ve been trying to figure that out for years.
Well, they could be the Fightin' French Fries.... It ties in the Irish love of potatoes and the French love of pommes frites. The university's colors are blue and gold because it was founded by French order of Catholics (not Irish), and their colors are blue and gold. That's also why the school's name is in French.
The "Fighting Irish" mascot came later, and due to that, the team/fans wear green sometimes. It also happens to look good with blue and/or gold.
