Great ending. Falcons trailed by 3 with the ball 4th and 15 in their own end of the field and a bit less than two minutes left. They decide to go for it. Pass intercepted. So, Tampa has the ball in great field position. However, Atlanta uses all three time outs and Tampa has to punt. Atlanta starts deep in its own end. Three complete passes and a spike with one second left get the ball in place for a 47 yard FG. Then delay of game penalty on Atlanta makes it a 52 yard FG. Good. Going to overtime. Atlanta wins the toss and scores on a long TD pass and run to cap a 4 play 70 yard drive to win the game. Cousins completed 42 passes for 509 yards (a Falcon record) and 4 TDs. Nice comeback from a torn Achilles.
 
A decent, but not great, set of other games this weekend. Conference play is in full swing, but this week the bigs didn't draw the other bigs.

These two Texas teams: Sam and Tx State (SW Texas) keep inching up and up in terms of football quality and relevance.

These guys could beat UH, Tech, Baylor, SMU, and TCU any given Saturday if the ball bounces in their favor.

They could make Rice look like a bunch of nerds recruited from the engineering labs.

The reason--growth of the State. Now the 4th tier of recruits in Texas is at the point where they're capable of playing pretty good college ball.
 
Oregon up on MSU 7-0 and Oregon has the ball. . . . Oregon drove rapidly down into the red zone, but then was intercepted on the 2 yard line. MSU hanging in.
 
Third Ward changing QB's may be a huge thing for them. Not sure when they did it and the line certainly didn't have that factored in.

Game Day has been interesting with the language filters off...not only the chants by Cal student body but Saban using '**** out of luck' if you pay the wrong guy...
 
Appropriately, the winner of this year's shittiest uniforms comes from one of the 2-3 shittiest towns I've ever been to, LOSERVILLE. I wanted SMU to win, but now I hope they stomp a mudhole in them so that I never have that hideous crap on my TV again.

My son suggested I switch to split screen to lessen the bleeding on the eyes & damage to the TV.
