They look like one of Gundy’s better teams—hitting on all cylinders.

(and they’re both “OSU”)

Minister at University Christian Church in Fort Worth today awarded TCU the Jesus Cup this year for beating the Methodists, Mormons and Baptists ... LOL. (We're the Heathens, apparently!)

I don't pretend to understand the pro football QB rating system, but Brock Purdy finished the game today with a perfect (158.3) rating, the first time a 49er QB did that since Steve Young and Joe Montana did it in 1989, according to the announcers.

Josh Dobbs is playing very well again and has the Vikings ahead of the Broncos by 8 at the end of the third quarter tonight, but the Broncos are driving thanks to a couple of nice receptions by Lil Jordan Humphrey after a Vikings fumble ends a drive well into Broncos territory. . . . Denver is hit with a procedure penalty when a lineman failed to report as eligible on third and one deep in Vikings territory, making it third and six, after which Wilson was sacked. So Denver settles for a FG. Vikings lead 17-12 early in the fourth.
. . .
Wild series. Dobbs hit by blitzer as he threw--helicopter ball is intercepted deep in Vikings territory. Denver runner takes it around left end, but gets 15 yard penalty for an offensive facemask with his stiff arm attempt. On third and goal from the 10, Vikings rush almost everybody, but Wilson gets off a miraculous, accurate pass that Jeudy drops in the end zone when defender grabs his arm. Another FG. 17-15.

More wildness-Vikings have it fourth and four around their own thirty. Trick play--snap to the up back in punt formation, and he takes it around the right end for 31 yards. Vikings get new set of downs. Holding penalty plus a couple of missed plays make it third and 21. Pass to left for 20 yards makes it fourth and one. Successful tush push QB sneak nets the first down. . . Vikings settle for FG with just a bit over 3 minutes to go. 5 point lead. Broncos need a TD. . . and they get it.

After they traded punts to open the game, KC drove 80 yards in the rain for the first TD. . . . Philly answers with 75 yard TD drive. . . . KC ended the first half strong, scoring a TD and a FG in the final two minutes, and sacking Hurts 4 times in six plays.

. . .

Totally different second half. Philly finds its offense and looks like it will shut KC out. Philly leads by 4 with the ball and about four minutes left.

Lions keep going for it on 4th down today and failing. I've lost count of how many times they've tried it, but if they had just kicked FGs or punted each time, they would be a lot better off than they are now, trailing by 15 in the fourth.

After a slow start, Cowboys had a pretty 90 yard drive for a TD that included an absolutely perfect bullet by Prescott to his tight end up the middle of the field.

Bad sequence for Wash. Had to call time out on third and one, then threw long incomplete pass that announcers said was "almost a brilliant call" :) and finally got stuffed on run from shotgun formation. straight up the middle

As we watch the egg bowl, I was wondering: why would Spencer Sanders transfer from four-year starter at OKSt to essentially a backup at Ole Miss? The move doesn’t make any sense. Doesn’t make sense for OKSt and doesn’t make sense for Sanders. Anyone have any insight on this?
