OTHER GAMES

Ags with another TD. 14-7 aTm.

Ags are mixing it up, but mostly having success on the ground. The so-so aTm OL vs the UTSA D front is like the varsity vs the JV. Too much talent differential to stop the ags ground game. Still UTSA can keep it a ball game (at least for now).

De Marvin Leal got the sack. Dang I wish we had signed that guy. 2nd Qtr getting underway.

ags forced a punt deep into ag territory. Ags working out of their red zone bit by bit. Still 14-7.

ags marching down the field with short passes and dink and dunk stuff. Strange penalty on UTSA results in another ag first down.

After ags punt, UTSA converts on 4th down in their own territory. Ags stop them. UTSA has 4th and short but did a false start... Ags with the ball after a punt. Roadrunners hanging in there.

Mond sacked deep in ag territory!

The roadrunners dodge a bullet. Fumble on a punt return but UTSA gets it back. The Roadrunners are not going away. Punt.
TD ags.

UTSA 7

ags are now pulling away based on superior talent.

Wake with a long bomb. Inside the Wolfpack 5.

Wake F 34
NC State 10

I know it’s just N.C. State, but this Wake offense is pretty impressive. I’d have to say Wake deserves its Top 25 ranking.

TD Big Blue. TE in the flats makes the grab and runs it in.

Michigan 28
Maryland 0

Michigan is making a statement

That statement is: “We will severely beat up average or worse teams. Just don’t expect us to show up against any highly ranked teams.” And I like these guys. Just telling it like it is.

Nebraska with a blocked punt!

Nebraska’s pass rush has been dogging Plummer all day. Now they block a punt and have a short field. The Husker’s offense has been so-so (at best) thus far. But that Husker pass rush...! Take some notes T. Orlando. #79 for NU is as big as Stonie Clark.

Purdue 14
Nebraska 13

Purdue with the ball back. So what does the Purdue coach do against this NU pass rush? Run 2 back to back beautifully executed running back screens. Not goofball WR screens or jailbreak screens. No, the old fashioned RB screens led by 3 OL. Highly effective. A thing of beauty. Down into NU territory. Those traditional RB screens are works of art when executed well.

NU D holds. Purdue with a FG.

Purdue 17
Nebraska 13

Nebraska TD on a sustained drive. QB punches it in on the keeper.

Nebraska 20

A Nebraska defender shoots Purdue QB Plummer’s knee while he was being wrapped up high by another Nebraska defender. Plummer is out with an njury. Purdue’s backup QB is in.

Purdue TD. Run up the gut. Good blocking. Untouched.

Purdue 24
Nebraska 20

Purdue just delivered a body blow. Up by 4 with a minute left on a TD after 12 play, 8 minute drive, equally divided between passes and runs, and led by back-up QB.

Purdue just delivered a body blow. Up by 4 with a minute left.
Reverse from the NU 7 yard line. Untouched for the touchdown Purdue!

Purdue 31
Nebraska 27

Just a bit over one minute left in the game. What a game.

Game over. NU falls to 4-5 for the season. Purdue goes to 3-6.

Pokes long bomb. Frogs defender tried to grab the OSU WR and fell down leaving him wide open. TD.

OSU 10
TCU 0

1at Qtr

TCU started slow. Now they’re working the counter treys pretty well near midfield.
Woah. INT down inside the OSU 5. Patterson is pissed off.

Tight D by the Frogs. OSU to punt from their endzone.

And TCU with the ball in Poke territory. Frogs working their TE. That’s one very big and reasonably fast TE.

FG TCU

10-3 OSU.

Frogs flagged with a phantom pass interference penalty. Pokes driving in Frog territory.

And now a real pass interference call on TCU. Pokes knocking on the door.

Blacklock is a beast. And a sack by #94.

TD Pokes. Great catch in the endzone corner. Not bad coverage. Catch under review. TD. No worries. Patterson’s superior coaching prowess will get TCU right back in it.

Georgia knocking on the door. Up 3-0. Ga benefitted from a bad call on a trapped ball catch. First and goal.

TD Georgia. Catch in the flats and he ran it in for the score. Gator defense is tight. Dogs had to earn it every play (and get a nice call on that trapped ball).

Ga running back breaks 30 yd run to Florida 24, but Fla holds on first two downs of next set. Fla jumped offsides, so Ga has third and about six. Incomplete pass. Ga will have to settle for field goal try. Good. 13-3
at the half.

TCU got an INT and Duggan hit a TD on a long bomb.

Reagor heading to the locker room with an injury.

Halftime.
