OTHER GAMES

Beautiful RB screen by UW. A work of art in motion. Play that film at the coaching clinic. Dogs driving in the Oregon territory (in more ways than one for any lurking history buffs).

Sloppy error by UW. Punting back to Oregon.

W 14
O 7

Shane just threw another very long (75 yard) TD pass. The receiver who caught it has 5 catches for 178 yards (and 2 TDs) in the first half.

Okie State scores TD. Now leads Baylor by 6. 13-7. Baylor comes back fast with a great RPO--now down to Okie State five. First and goal. Now third and goal from the 11. Baylor calls two time outs in a row. Incomplete pass into triple coverage. Have to settle for field goal.

Meatchicken is NEVER the good guys, but they are a far cry from Pervert State. So, in this instance, they are the one you hold your nose on...
I’ve always liked Michigan. It goes back to when I was a little kid and thought their helmets were cool. I also liked their colors. Historically, their late season win over then-number one aOSU in ‘68 set up The Game of the Century—UT v Arkansas.

Their fans tend to be knowledgeable, and quite congenial by Northern standards (compare to aOSU fans). They don’t assault and batter opposing fans. I like to consider them the Northern version of us. I may be a bit delusional on the academic side of that comparison though.

Brewer (Baylor) threw a high risk near-INT in the endzone. Baylor settles for a FG. Nice D stand by the Cowboys.

OSU 13
Baylor 10

Baylor is back in their BU helmets instead of the cartoon bear head with a sailor hat.

Strange sound (at least on my system) for Oregon State/Cal game. The crowd and band noise often competes with (or even wins over) the voices of the play by play lady and the commentator.

Cal (4-2) gets ball back at its own 8 with no timeouts and 57 seconds left in game trailing Oregon State (2-4) by 4. Interference on OSU brings ball to 23. 42 seconds left. QB sack. Clock rolling. Incomplete pass. 13 seconds left. Incomplete pass (out of bounds) called. Play under review. It is overturned, Cal has ball on its own 21 with seven seconds left. Sack. Another upset.

After a slow start, LSU is whipping MSU as expected. I bet Ed gave a loud and articulate halftime speech to pump up his team.

Washington 28
Oregon 21

Both sides scored on their first drives of the second half. UW with the ball marching into Duck territory. Eason is very accurate at QB.

The Dogs’ OL appears to be wearing down O’s D front. UW moving the ball on the ground and in the air with relative ease.

Bad spot brings up a 4th and 1 for Washington.
Oregon jumps offsides! First down UW in the red zone.

SMU has ball in second half leading 24-14. They have driven inside the Temple 20. Third and long. Incomplete pass, but personal foul on defense. First and goal. Another TD pass. That's four for Shane.

Oregon converts a 4th and 1 inside their own territory in the late 3rd Q.

Now UW back to rushing just 3. Herbert (Oregon QB) has all day to throw. C’mon coach. O now in W territory.

Oregon converts 4th and 3 for a TD.

W 31
O 28

End of 3rd Q

What we have here are two good QBs and two savvy OCs.
