OTHER GAMES

Wow! This game is full of so many big plays. Strange but exciting. Covey is a stud. OSU’s QB is hitting home runs. It may come down to the trenches late in the game, and I like Utah there.

Rose Bowl:

5 TD's scored in the last 2:43! Long runs, too!! Still 5:45 to play in the 2nd Qtr. Unreal! Utah leads 35-21

Almost seems like the coaches had a meeting and decided to lighten up on the D, light the scoreboard up, and just put on an entertaining show.

:beertoast:

Rose Bowl:

Ohio St. - Long run, but Utah DB knocked the ball out near the 20 y/l which rolled into the EZ and Utah recovered. This game is crazy!!

Da Yoots need to move the chains, run that clock down, and finish the half with a TD or FG — and don’t give the Bucks the ball back. It’s looking like backyard football in the second Q.

Look like that might be the strategy only a minute left in the 2nd Qtr.

The last part of the 1st half UU - OSU game was absolutely crazy! Never seen that many long runs and scores in that short of time! o_O

That bunch makes spaghetti sauce and calls it chili. Thinks White Castle makes good burgers. Just a lot of brain damage up in those parts.

Spent a week up in Ohio once. When I left, I made a vow that I'd never go back to that place . . . So far, for the last 20 years, I've kept my promise to myself and don't intend to break it!

My most vivid memory of the Buckeyes fans was the 2006 game in Austin. They had something like 30,000 fans without tickets show up trying to score tickets. A couple of young guys sat in from of us standing up the whole game. Several folks asked them politely to sit down. They told us to "shut the F-ck up" and "we'll stand up if we want too!" and called us "A-holes."

A few other guys, me and one of my buddies, gathered around them and calmly as well as politely, told them, they could sit down and shut up, or have their asses kicked to hell and back. Seeing they were surrounded, they sat down and were rather quiet for the rest of the game. Those folks are ****-bags.

Bevo, I used to travel Ohio on business years ago. I dreaded going to cities like Cleveland, Columbus, Youngstown and Toledo. Youngstown was the worst - a dump.

Cincinnati was pretty dirty but l liked the business people there better than some other cities.

Before I joined the Navy I'd never met anyone from Ohio. I learned very early that folks from places like Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania hated them but I never quite understand why. I didn't do the state pride, Texas brag stuff, and pretty much kept to myself. Then one day I was standing in the chowline and this Ohio dude starts ragging on me. His whole thing was that if Texas is so great, why did I leave? But he ended up getting sent home with a general discharge. Pretty much for being a disagreeable POS. The guys from the states I mentioned before weren't surprised at all.

They are the epitome of lowlife fans. I’ve told my stories previously on HF… having attended all three of our games against them.
