OTHER GAMES

Louisville snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Intercepted a pass that bounced off of the receiver and ran it back for a td. The game was tied and UCF was in field goal range.

Two years ago I thought Helton would be gone, like for sure (as they’d say in Tarzana.) Yet he had a good year last year. USC’s President is an ultra “wokie”. Whomever is hired for the “permanent” job will likely have to toe her line and be content under her heel.

Why, maybe Briles is who they’ll hire…
:lmao:

Then again, if Bielema has a good year at U of I…
:lmao:

Fickell has the inside track with the Trojans' AD.
Two words for USC

Donna Lopiano

Oklahoma puttering around v Nebraska. 7-3 in the 2nd Q.

I won’t root for OU, but it wouldn’t hurt me to see Nebraska do down.

WV up 14-7 over #15 Va Tech late in the second q. WV with the ball. Mountaineer RB Lessie Brown busted out a long run.

I think Sark may find this Big 12 schedule much less of a step down (from his old job in the SEC) than he anticipated.

Just realized that Illinois almost beat the vaunted Maryland Fighting Whatevers...gave the game away in the last few minutes after leading 17-10 in the 4th quarter. 20-17 final score.

THAT had the potential for a delayed black eye for the B12.

Other than beating Nebraska, Bielema’s not off to such a great start at U of I. And he hasn’t even reached the real meat of his B1G schedule yet…. Fortunately for him, U of I is used to being a middle-of-the-pack type of outfit, so hopefully for him their boosters will have patience.

Of course, the Children of the Corn just about upset the land thieves...

These first few weeks of both college and pro are making it a real challenge to sort out who is actually GOOD.

Purdue is stuffing Notre Dame. Three 3-and-outs in a row.

Purdue 3
ND 0

Boilers’ ball.
4th down ND. Quick slant. Broke a Purdue tackle and raced to the endzone.

ND 7
Pur 3

The Irish are playing some stout D as well.

(Irish — stout … something about those seem to go together. Can’t quite put my finger on it…).

Purdue is knocking on the door again. In the ND red zone.

Irish D holds. FG

Purdue 6
ND 10

3rd Q in South Bend. Defensive game indeed.

Woah!

Brutal hit by a Purdue LB on the ND TE. No targeting called. Just a super hard hit. Rang his bell and sat him on his arse.

Wake Forest up on the Seminoles 21 to 7, trying to send them to 0-3.

All the other big names trying to regain former glory - Texas, Tennessee, Miami, Michigan, USC, etc - can at least be thankful we aren't Florida State.

Well rats. Long route over the middle. The Irish WR just outran the defender. TD ND.

Dang, Irish guys are fast.

I guess the Noles just aren’t the same since they lost Jimbo.

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Meanwhile, piratetry along the Mississippi. Leach is power running in the red zone for a 10-7 lead at Memphis. Will Rogers (Leach’s QB, not the cowboy/humorist) is also playing well.

If Leach wins here, he’ll be 3-0 and get a national ranking.

SC line doing better job this drive. Don't know the FR QB's name, but he seems to be settling in. Nice drive going right now, started at the SC 9 and has moved to midfield.
