Official Spurs 2007-08 Season Thread

Manu saves the day against the Griz, with 13 of 14 from the line and 30 total points. He's playing some serious ball early this year, so it appears the summer rest might have helped.

If Darius keeps playing the way he has so far, and then improving, he's got a good chance to edge out Jacque Vaughn for the backup point guard position. Of course, with 10 or 11 years experience, Jacque will probably get Pop's nod in various crunch times when he's healthy. But I'm still impressed with DW's strength and hustle!

every team in the southwest division is undefeated, except for memphis, who lost to sa by only 3.

easily the toughest division in basketball, top to bottom.

Nice, methodical win over the Kings tonight. Nothing fancy, just taking care of bidness. Good to have Ime get in there and rain some treys.

Not that I'm expecting 82-0 or anything this year, but SA is 3-0 only 4 nights into the new season. Not bad for a bunch of oldtimers....

its only one game but i was impressed with udoka. he looks like he can take some minutes away from barry and finley.

Well, I guess it's that time for Pop to crank up the meat grinder again. "Hey RC, tell Pop that this sausage is good, but it's needs a tiny bit more Mavericks in it."

They didn't make a lot of roster changes, and I like it. Elson and Oberto now know what to expect coming into the new season. Udoka had nice numbers. Darius Washington has played OK given his experience. Barring a major injury, I think this team clears 60 wins... easily.

I know it's early and there's not much interest in non-Durant early-season NBA hoops but this thread was getting close to sliding off the first page.

Anyway, tough loss at Houston last night. Killed on the glass. Barring injury to T-Mac and/or Yao, the Rockets will make some noise this year.
