Obama's parting gifts to the American people

US embassy pressed Ukraine to drop probe of George Soros group during 2016 election

" ......A few months later, Yuri Lutsenko, widely regarded as a hero in the West for spending two years in prison after fighting Russian aggression in his country, was named prosecutor general and invited to meet new U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch.

Lutsenko told me he was stunned when the ambassador “gave me a list of people whom we should not prosecute.” The list included a founder of the AntAC group and two members of Parliament who vocally supported the group’s anti-corruption reform agenda, according to a source directly familiar with the meeting.

It turns out the group that Ukrainian law enforcement was probing was co-funded by the Obama administration and liberal mega-donor George Soros. And it was collaborating with the FBI agents investigating then-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort’s business activities with pro-Russian figures in Ukraine.

The implied message to Ukraine’s prosecutors was clear: Don’t target AntAC in the middle of an America presidential election in which Soros was backing Hillary Clinton to succeed another Soros favorite, Barack Obama, Ukrainian officials said.

“We ran right into a buzzsaw and we got bloodied,” a senior Ukrainian official told me....."

So the murderers were held in Va until last Nov?

I remember a story about Trump forced to take over a thousand refugees that Australia had held Obama had promised we would take, IIRC correctly no reason given.
In what sick obama world is this a good deal for USA?
This from link, "
  • In a secret 'people swap' with the US, Australia accepted two of them as refugees
  • In return, the US accepted up to 1250 refugees from Manus Island and Nauru.

To Michelle the media = Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. Other than that no one was criticizing Barack. Everything he did was accepted by NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC. When he was against gay marriage. They were. When he was for gay marriage they were. Etc.

A federal judge finally rules Obama’s “Waters of the United States Rule” unlawful

(US District Judge Lisa Godbey) Wood stated that the rule, which was intended to provide better protection of the nation’s water, violated the Clean Water Act and the Administrative Procedure Act, and she remanded it back to the Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers for further work.

She wrote that while the agencies have authority to interpret the phrase “waters of the United States,” that authority isn’t limitless, and therefore their decisions in doing so do not fall under what’s called Chevron deference, a matter of case law in which — for lack of a better phrase — the tie goes to the agency.

Court rules Obama EPA violated law on Waters of the United States Rule

This was the same idiotic Obama rule that led to a Wyoming farmer being fined $37,500 a day for constructing a stock pond on his own property. Wyoming man wins EPA lawsuit over stock pond

Some folks still support the Unions' "former" ability to force workers to pay into their corrupt system.

I cannot remember if this was discussed at the time but .... back in 2009, Obama surrendered US sovereignty. Via another of his infamous Executive Orders.

Signed Dec 16 and released a day later, it granted the Interpol rights on American soil that placed it beyond the reach of US law enforcement.
And not subject to FOIA

He effectively elevated Interpol above US law. What a creep that guy was. And I am not sure if I were a district court judge I would accept his edicts.

Obama Surrenders U.S. Sovereignty: His INTERPOL Executive Order

No Joe. No, no, no. Obama was involved in NO scandals. None. To go against that fact is to put into question everything the government is all about.

I remember when this POS Obamacare was being debtated in Congress and leftists on here were blasting those of us who posted Obama was lying, that people would NOT pay $2500.00 less.
Shame on those who voted for and supported obamacare

This is the biggest failure of the Republicans 2016-2017. They didn't repeal ACA when they had the chance. The biggest betrayal of that party and one reason why it is hard for me to take them seriously anymore. That and not cutting spending and exploding the deficit again. They should have doubled down on sequestration at a minimum.

Obamacare was a sham - it was designed to fail from Day One. The purpose of Obamacare was to get American health insurance and health care industry so screwed up that the only way to salvage it is to go to single-payer. No way the American people would have bought into single-payer from the start - but they dropped the frog into a pot of cool water, then turned the temperature up before we realized we were being cooked. Hope we can find a way to jump out of the pot before it's too late.

Two problems with Obama's comment. 1) What other holiday are people buying presents for? Hanukah only has presents because of influence from Christmas. Nobody celebrates Kwanza. Ramadan isn't going on right and they don't buy gifts for it, they starve themselves ;). 2) Health care isn't <$10 unless he is talking about a small bottle of Advil.

The NYT on Obamacare:

"The law's drafters hoped that payments into the program would offset payments out. As it turned out, losses substantially outpaced gains"

Who could have seen that coming? (besides anyone with an IQ above 85)

Actually there are those with high IQ's that have weak analytical and mathematical skills. There are those who don't understand revenue - expenses = profits and if expenses > revenue then profits are negative. They are called Democrats.

There were some on here who could not see it coming and still don't.

It was always about incrementalism. Single payer (and perhaps full blown socialized medicine) was always the agenda. The public option was supposed to put private insurers out of business or diminish their presence to such an extent that they would become a virtual non-factor (like they are here in Germany). When that failed, the goal was to regulate and subsidize the private insurance industry to such an extent that it's effectively a government system. That won't work long term for what's at least on paper a private system, and eventually it's going to crash, leaving us with no choice but to adopt a government system.
